I'm unsure of why the reviews for this place are so negative, as this was one of my favorite hotels I stayed in during my two-week trip to China. The hotel is spotless, stylishly designed, very comfortable, and offers an amazing complimentary breakfast that is maybe not as vast as others I had in China but more than made up for it in the food quality. The only things I didn't like about the hotel was the check-in process (a little slow) and the size of the rooms. Despite the slow check-in, they offered us complimentary tea which was a nice touch. It was a 20-25 min walk to the Bund which was fine for me, as I love to walk. It's about a 10 min walk to the nearest subway stop and nearby there are tons of restaurants. All in all, a pretty good location and a very comfortable stay for the price.
