We are used to staying in low budget hotels due to long travelling in Asia. But this has been our worst stay. 

Besides the wifi not working in the room and the cockroaches in the entrance, our big problem was the noise. 

There are extremely loud waterpumps just located right next to the rooms. The staff reassured us that at night they will switch it to another waterpump that you cannot hear in the room.
However, we stayed up all night due to the heavy and disturbing noise.

We would definitely not recommend staying here.

Noisy 24/7 - NO SLEEP

Twice i"w been there. Good location to explore yangon. helpfull staff. Rooms clean but maybe not good for long stay. If you stay in town couple days Ocean pearl 2 is good choise for bagbacker. Many shops nearby

Free pickup from airport, which is a big plus. At arrival I was a bit confused. Not named as Ocean Pearl Inn II, rather Aung Sing Guesthouse. But all good, it's the same. Staff very very friendly, they answered all my questions before and during my stay. They helped me finding an ATM and supermarket at arrival, walked with me. The room was ok, clean, quiet, warm water with a good pressure. Ok, a bit dark and a bit smelly but still ok. Breakfast was nice. You can't expect more, remember what you have paid for!
Location is good, a nice, colorful market in the side streets, walking distance to Sule Pagoda, train station and Chinatown. Bus 93 to Highway Bus Station, one minute walk. And again, staff is amazing! 

Nice and friendly 

Reasonable for price however signage was not sufficient.  Difficult to find and entry is through open air market - towards meat and seafood.  Provides for very smelly entrance.

Staying at this hotel for past few year..nice and clean value for money room.All staff are very helpful and friendly.Morning breakfast simple.Near to bothatong pagoda,and nearby have other nice place to visit.Overall staying here was Good.

Great,value and Good location

Staff - Mr. Kyaw and Mr. Kyi at the front desk were VERY helpful, kind and caring. I received a very warm welcome from them. They're always willing to help you with your problems. In fact, they go out of their way to do their best to help you feel at home. They even helped me get a taxi that cost less than the price on my GRAB taxi app. They take a very good care of all their guests (from what I have noticed), which is really nice! If you need help with planning your trip within Myanmar, you can always ask them. They can give you detailed useful information and I have seen them help other guests makes transportation arrangements too. They speak English very well so you don't have to worry about communication barrier. Plus, the owner of the guesthouse will personally pick you up from the airport and take you back (anytime between 6.00 a.m. - 3 p.m.) provided you tell them your arrival and departure time in advance. I will definitely come back. 

Breakfast and Free Water - if you'd like to sample local dishes like Mohingar as part of the free breakfast instead of their healthy and balanced continental breakfast comprising of eggs, fruits, toast and coffee/burmese milk tea, you can make your request a day in advance. You can get hot/cold drinking water whenever in the dining area, which is also where you can use their kettle and fridge. the dining area is clean and I spent most of my time there working on my laptop. 

Quiet, Clean and Spacious Room - the single room that I booked came with a private bathroom. I asked for a quiet room and I got one. It was clean and I was very satisfied with the condition of the room. everything worked just fine. there was plenty of space to put all my things and there are more than 2 sockets for me to charge my electronic gadgets. if you have any problems, TELL THEM and they will fix it for you IMMEDIATELY. the water pressure was not a problem for me. All I had to do was let them know I'm about to use the shower so they would turn up the water pressure for me.

WIFI - I was able to stream all of my shows online from my room and didn't have to wait for the videos to load. But, if you're not satisfied with the speed, LET THEM KNOW so they could do something about it. I was satisfied with the speed, though.

Location - the location is superb. it's in downtown area, which makes it easy to get to many touristy spots. i also like the fact that there's the daily farmers market right in front of the guesthouse. across the guesthouse is a nice place to eat local food. it's clean and yummy.

We've been travelling on a budget in Asia for 5 months and have stayed in some basic places, nothing like this though! 

We booked a double room on booking.com and what we were given was nothing like the pictures.

The entire room was taken up by a double size bunk bed with not even enough floor space for us both to stand at once.

There was a window directly above the bed with no covering - so you can't block out the light.

Immediately outside our room was some sort of machine that started at 5am making a very loud noise over and over again - so we did not sleep.

Wifi didn't work in the room

Room was dirty and had damp issues - my asthma was affected by the mould

But the WORST thing? When we flushed the toilet it leaked onto the bathroom floor, from the waste pipe... how do we know it's from the waste pipe? Well because after my husband used the toilet for No.2 he flushed it and got to see bits of his poo on the bathroom floor - gross! The drain for the bathroom was also not connected properly, so any wet from the bathroom floor drained into an area of floor under the bed... well I'll leave it to your imagination how hygienic that must be! 

On the plus side they offer free breakfast, and airport transfers at certain times of day, however having seen the hygiene standards in the rooms we opted to pass on breakfast.

Worst hotel in Asia!

Pro: very confortable materass, free airport pick up, helpful staff, clean toilet and hot water, nearby good and cheap restaurant.Cons: very bad wifi connection, far from center, breakfast in reception and overcooked eggs.entrance is in a market so bad smell of pee.Overall very good for the price, only the airport pickup is worthed for what you pay. ask for a room with window

We stayed at Ocean Pearl Inn II twice. We loved the staff so much, as they were extremely kind (like most people in Myanmar), but also very helpful. They let us check in HOURS early the 2nd time we arrived, and both times when we checked out, they allowed us to store our bags all day and use the toilet (even offered a shower)! Breakfast was simple (toast, hardboiled egg, and fruit), but can't complain about free. We also had the most amazing mattress the 1st time we stayed. 2nd time it wasn't as nice, but still better than most in Southeast Asia. Only downfall would be stinky, dirty, entrance way, and weird double bunk bed thing they had set up. My husband bashed his head on the top bunk too many times to count haha.Local noodle shop across the street was very good as well, and so cheap we felt like we robbed them!
