The place quiet with nice views overlooking the Nordfjorden. It was easy to find and there was a supermarket and a gas station in the neighborhood.  We had Cabin 1 facing the sea, spacious with sufficient cooking facilities.  The staff was very helpful.  We asked for a kettle and was given one.  We found the frying pan rather dirty and it was replaced immediately.  We regret that we stayed there for only one night.  If we had more time, we could do some activities around there, e.g. kayaking or just rowing in the peaceful environment.

A nice place in Nordfjord

Came here on our trip around Norway so only stayed the one night and that was ok but wouldn't have wanted to stay for much longer. The campsite itself is located further away from the main Fjords and mountains where we started our trip and the views were slightly lacking from what we had been seeing for the rest of the week, although the weather wasn't fantastic when we arrived. The man at reception spoke little English but we managed to get our cabin key and he gave us a WIFI code which did give us access unlike most other campsites which was good to plan our next day ahead. It is easily sign posted for good access and there is a variety of caravans, camper vans, tents and cabins so really is a site that anyone can use. There is free parking at the side of the cabin which you stay in and the views looking out over the Fjord when the sun comes out are lovely. Inside the cabin there is a kitchenette which cooking stove and sink, as well as a fridge and cooking utensils which came in handy. There is also a sofa and bunk beds as well as two more beds in or cabin. The bathroom is included with the cabin so don't have to worry about waiting for other people and also is free to use. Would point out that there was only two of us staying here and after one shower of less than five minutes the water did start to run mild and was soon cold, this meant that my sister had to wait an hour or so until it re-heated itself back to decent temperature. The heating is great in the cabin and soon warms the place through and although there was little to complain about it just didn't feel cosy or somewhere you can truly relax in. The site was very busy and there were people playing football outside until midnight when they finally stopped so I think it may be a popular site for the locals more than tourists. The cabin wasn't the cleanest which we had had through the week but if staying for a night or two its not a bad place to be, it just seemed to miss something for us. For the money paid it seemed a little expensive but for the money you mainly get your own bathroom.

Good but not great.

We stayed here 4 nights in a cabin (6 pers.) during our holiday trip in Norway. The beds are very small (70 cm). The cabin is rather well equipped but a bit out dated. The cabin was clean when we arrived, except for the oven. I wonder how people could make such a mash and leave it just like that.
Staff is helpful but a bit shy. The view is magnificent. I am not sure if we book this again.

Not the top of the world

This place has a splendid view of Hornelen, its location is in the middle of everything in Nordfjord and it has a very attentive staff. You can rent the jacuzzi, motor boats, ride a horse, go hiking or fishing!
