NoneSuch Retreat

We recently stayed at Nonesuch Retreat for 3 nights. The place is simply unbelievable. If you intend to be cut off from the world this is your chance. The bungalow is an old 19th Century structure - typical from the Raj. However its upkeep is top notch!. They have 2 rooms that they let out. Each room can accommodate 4 adults - they provide 4 beds. Each room has a separate powder room & a large bathroom. The rooms are clean & well appointed. There's a common room - like a library where you find some books to read at leisure. Then there's a common dining hall where meals are served. Their team of chefs who hail from the neighbouring areas can cook a variety of stuff including non vegetarian dishes. There's ample variety even at breakfast & the taste is truly homelike! The best part of the property are the lawns in front of the bungalow & the uninterrupted view of the valley it offers. You can see mountains & valley wherever the eye takes you. The nights are dark with only sound of honking that comes from the Coimbatore Ooty Highway. The caretaker Ms. Susila takes care of all arrangements. She is incharge of the entire operations & a very soft spoken lady! A truly brilliant experience
