Naypyidaw

It is easy to access if you go by car or private taxi. Not that easy to go by public bus. Not necessary to enter from Naypyidaw (the capital of Myanmar) as it is complicated to go in these days. Just drop in directly from the Yangon-Mandalay Express way at 215 miles. Beautifully located on the bank of Nga Laik Dam with nice (interesting) bungalows and rooms. You can also explore to the near by Elephant camp (2 miles away), by boat (depend on water level), by walking or by riding a bicycle (can hire at the hotel). We stayed in standard room. Quite comfortable, spacious and clean though not with view. You can enjoy the view, siting at the terrace, facing to the dam. Nice place for short relaxation.

Easy to access and Good Place with reasonable price for short relaxation

The perfectly reinstalled old Myanmar traditional houses across the country, in a lakeside environment. The interiors are also decorated simply but in details.Relaxing environment mostly with lake view. Detached private dinning and mini kitchen which is outside of the room but within one building is really nice place to have conversations. Good for all types, families, couples, friends. The weakness is the bathroom water seems quite smelly at evening and night though it's fine in morning times.

Perfect Getaway spot in Capital City

My wife booked us here and it was a nice surprise. Others have written about the history of the rooms and the eco-friendly additions.  Breakfast was okay for my western palate. While the rustic grounds are a nice touch, you have to walk on rock paths and driveways. Great to come up from Yangon in late Nov. to enjoy the cooler weather.
Worth the long drives to find it (not easy to do). Great value for the price.

A great hidden gem.

When I had to travel to Nay Pyi Daw the administrative capital of my country Myanmar on 3rd September 2018 to have an International Driving Permit issued , despite there being so many hotels and choose from in and around Nay Pyi Daw, I chose this peaceful and nice resort as I had stayed here once before and I know for sure l would have a wonderful time during my one night’s stay here , which in reality turned out to be true.

With almost perfect rainy weather and the wonderful view of the dam , on the eastern bank of which this resort is located, I really had a good time enjoying nice wines and game meats with my friend . We talked on and on about so many things from politics to my experiences as an English teacher. The service was also great and the dishes we ordered were also superb.

At night, we had good sleep as it was almost completely quiet.

What is unique about this resort is that all the delux chalets were once grand mansions of headmen of some villages and they were transformed into hotel rooms with the original architectural style remaing intact if looked at from the outside while the interiors were fitted with some modern amenities but it is done in an eco-friendly style.
There’s still so much more to write about this resort but I believe what describes this might be “ Seeing is believing!”

A visit with a special purpose

It was a sensational stay. Unfortunately the rooms face the shorter side of the lake. But must sit down for drinks & dinner overlooking the larger side of the lake. Delicious 😋 food. Friendly staff & affordable price
