Beautiful little apartment-like unit in a most excellent location - quiet, yet steps from Main Street in The Highlands. We had our small pup with us, and outside there were plenty of sidewalks and grassy areas to walk her. Inside, the decor was clean and fresh, unfitted with everything you need - large bathroom, nice bed lines and towels, plenty of coffee, etc. The rental staff provided well-timed communication upon booking and up to our stay. We appreciated the self-check-in as well. Many thanks to the team for a terrific experience!

Beautiful, peaceful little hotel just one block from Main Street. We stayed in Suite #2, gorgeous suite, lots of amenities and beautifully decorated, this hotel feels brand new. Adirondack chairs are set up along the creek next to the property. Wonderful cafe just downstairs and a cute bar just steps away. Perfect romantic getaway, thank you, we'll definitely be back.

We loved our stay in Suite 1 at The Inn at Mill Creek.  We had a little trouble at first finding the suites, but that was because it is tucked in behind a building for perfect privacy.  Walking out our door to look over the creek and outdoor patio lights was beautiful.  We spent a late evening sitting in the chairs by the creek and were so excited to see a flying squirrel go right above us.  So many beautiful things to see while we were there, but that was our favorite.  The room was perfect for our party of 3.  The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the pull-out couch was comfortable.  We parked our car the first night and did not have to drive again.  We were celebrating my mother's 80th birthday and we did not have a problem walking to anything.  It was an easy walk to Mountain Grocery, Old Edwards Inn, Highlands Wine Shop, and lots of shopping.  We loved the small refrigerator and ice machine in the room.  The room was quiet and private, I would suggest for couples or families get away.

Fantastic location, beautiful property with tons of seating and great restaurants! The rooms were very clean and our balcony looked over the creek and the Bridge restaurant. Reserved parking in the back for hotel guests. Great communication prior to our stay and easy checkout. Will definitely be back!

Great place to stay and convenient to everything. Definitely stop and get coffee cake at cake bar and enjoy the live jazz Friday nights downstairs. Also the blue bike downstairs has the best breakfast.

We stayed in a pet friendly room. It was wonderful. Love the privacy and the fact it is a suite. Plenty of room and quiet. Very convenient to town. Great restaurants right there. Very comfortable and thoughtful Decorating. Everything you need. 
 Can’t wait to come back. 

We just stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the visit. Very clean room and beds, if a little dated Re: wallpaper. The staff was friendly and even called to recommend the largest room after I booked online since we had 2 children traveling with us. It's more of a VRBO- type experience since these are kind of like condos over a small shopping center. It's very convenient to downtown and for what you pay I consider it excellent. We will stay there again when traveling back with kids.

Traveling with a family of 4 plus dog can be difficult when needing a dog friendly hotel.  The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and possessed the charm you would expect from a small mountain community.  Just blocks from downtown Highlands, it was easy to get wherever needed with a short walk.  Beds were super comfortable with the best linens you could ever want.  The only downside was hearing our room neighbor's dog barking until 11pm when they were not in the room and left it alone.  If it is raining you will need an umbrella because there is nowhere to parking your car under a canopy to get your luggage to the room.  We will be staying here again next time we visit Highlands, NC.

The web page for this hotel is very old and outdated.  Things have changed.  
There is no Continental Breakfast.  The TV's in the web page photos are about 20 years old.  They do have cable service and flat screen TV's but are not HD quality.  Don't come here if you're looking to watch any sports with high quality HD TV.  
Now to all the good things.   The Location as everyone says is wonderful.
The Rooms are very clean and they have a huge bathroom (with a Bidet!!)and wonderful King Size Comfortable Beds.  
As one reviewed, there is not a Kitchenette in the room.  There is a nice little Refrigerator/ freezer and a microwave in a Bar area.  There is a Dining room table also.
I wish there was another sink in this area but we had to use the Bathroom sink for washing out dishes that we brought.  
Maid service everyday is very good.
There is an ice machine on the deck.
I don't mind that this hotel is older.   it is nice inside and out.  They are nice and very comfy.  
We stayed here for 7 nights and the price was reasonable.
Also note that if you have AT&T cell and LTE service, we had 4 bars and full LTE service.  They do have wifi though.
Note...  The A/C's are central air and not wall units.   
There are so many take out and fine restaurants in this area, you can walk to them all.
We came here to hike everyday and we found many wonderful trails close by.  
We will be back!

We loved the size of the rooms and the cleanliness of the rooms.  Because it is a small hotel everyone was very friendly including other hotel guests.  Heather was accommodating.  The only issue we had was the work crew who were remodeling the restaurant outside of our room worked late in the night and were noisy.  This caused a problem when trying to sleep.  We did speak to Heather and the workers ended at 10:00 pm but stood outside talking loud.
