Motel Le Sabre

Small, unpretentious, clean, and comfortable, very easy on/off the highway, about 15 min from downtown Sherbrooke, with lots of dining and some shopping close by. My room was small but well-planned, with simple but well-chosen amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you're outdoors a bit, you may meet a friendly cat. The 5-star ratings don't lie: it's not the Ritz but it's excellent for what it is.

Small and unassuming but clean, dry and comfortable.  Awesome price compared to chain hotels in the area.

Good. Happy with stay. More than sets 2 be nice in kitchen units.

Great out of the way place in Sherbrooke.

Located near Deauville, it's a good place to put your head down for a few nights if visiting.  It's 5-10 minutes outside Sherbrooke but easily accessible.  The advertisement for the room mentioned a kitchenette but in reality it's an electric counter top burner that you store away.  It was clean and quiet so we are happy

The family size kitchenette room is spacious and inviting. We found the bed to be comfortable. Some furniture is quite outdated, but everything is functional and the room and kitchen utilities were spotless. If the electric baseboards are on for heat, expect tokking noise during the night and fridge is noisy.

Clean and comfortable

The woman at reception desk was very very nice. We got there about 10 minutes after check in time but she accommodated us after I had sent her an email the day before telling her we would be late. The room was just what we needed for a one night stay as we were heading for our final destination of Quebec. It could have worked well for a multiple night stay as well because it had a small kitchenette area with everything you need equipment-wise to make a meal. The area seemed fine and we didn’t feel unsafe. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was ok. The only “complaints” I have are1. The reception area had a very VERY strong cat urine odor. Not sure if someone resides behind the desk, but it was pretty bad. 2.  The room did not have shampoo/body wash/etc so if you are planning to stay here, make sure to bring your own. There was a bottle of hand soap in the shower area but I chose to not use that on my whole body. 3. Small coffee Keurig in the room with sugar packets and creamer packets in the fridge. All three of the creamer packets were curdled and spoiled. We went to ask for more and she stated she had already put some in the room. When we told her they were spoiled, she gave us more.

One night stay.

This is a good, clean lodging with simple amenities perfect for an overnight when traveling. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. There is a good TV, nice shower, and complementary coffee. The beds are clean and comfortable. The price for a room has increased significantly since my last visit. Ice was not readily available, but the staff provided some upon request. Some of the room furnishings were worn and needed replacement.

It was a quiet place. Check in was easy. Room was reasonably clean. I reserved a room with queen size bed and kitchenette. The kitchenette I saw on the pictures had an oven, stove & microwave. The room with  this complete kitchenette has only 2 double bed.  We had to change room and pay an extra.  This should be indicated.  We tried to lock the window by the entrance balcony but the seem to be broken. No recycling bin on site.

The room is very cozy though its not that expensive.It has all the stuff you need if you are staying longer.Fridge,microwave,toaster,stove,table,couch,tv.Shower room is a bit small but its nice too.
Ms. Lily ,the lady i supposed the owner is very nice.Everytime we need something ,she always give us an assurance that if we still need more supplies for the room we can always come to her.
In her office she prepared free munchies if in case people who will check in late night,they could have something to eat if in case all stores and restaurants are closed already.

Nice and good place to stay

I don't usually review motels, but this one is worth the reviewing.  Firstly the price was very reasonable, which led us to not expect much.....  but we viewed the rooms and took them instantly.  They were exceptionally clean; modern decorations and fittings; very comfortable beds; good grade of bathroom fittings; lovely friendly hostess at desk.  Highly recommended motel.  Thank you

Very clean and lovely

Being from the area, I knew of this motel but had never stayed.  It certainly dates back ... to a time when Bourque Boulevard was the main road to get from Magog to Sherbrooke!  Now living in Quebec City, we were looking for an inexpensive place to spend the night prior to the Sherbrooke 1/2 marathon which was taking place the next day (June 29th 2013).  If you are looking for a modern, chic decor, this isn't the place.  However, it has been renovated and the room which we had (with kitchenette) was very clean.  The bathroom was spotless and everything was new.  The kitchenette has a microwave, fridge, counter top stove, tiny sink,  toaster, kettle but no coffee maker.  Space is limited and dishes/equipment are basic so cooking an elaborate meal is not an option.  And to our surprise, the bed was extremely comfortable.  The size of the room was fine for our needs.  The room we had was on the ground floor, located in the back away from the road, thus very quiet.  The pool is small but appeared to be clean.  As for the desk clerk, she was polite, not too talkative and hidden behind a plexiglass.  All in all, the Motel Le Sabre is a great deal!
