Motel St Hilaire

This place is open year round , we went in sept , I think the leaves will turn only in early October ... Great for families , young kids , and elders alike - a great walk for all ages and all challenges - you can spend the day , bring your lunch & back pack thou , don't expect restaurants there's none in the park , but plenty just outside . Lots of locals , this place is beautiful. Safe and well maintained , a 7$ per person charge to get in but consider it as a donation , this place is very very well maintained - you'll think your in the great north forest ( without the Bears :) ) Seriously thou we saw a deer and doe , some geese ( yup there's a lake up there ! And beaver . If your adventurous there is trails that require a bit of climbing which leads to the most spectacular views ... Or a simple walk , there's about 8 km of trails that intertwine so you can basically walk for hours & hours . I can't beleve I haven't tried this before - I'm going back for sure Oh and the surrounding city ( st hilaire ) is quite charming - view trip adviser for other things to do in the area and make a day & diner trip of it !!! About 1 hour from Montreal you won't regret your day --- check the weather before you leave :)
