Moon Lake Farm and Bed and Breakfast

Decided to try another B&B option on a business trip and this place came up with great reviews.  Owner was very prompt in the response to request, and opened her home to me. It happend to be snowing when I arrived, so that added to the overall effect of the ranch setting with lake and horses.  Spent a little time petting the horses and settled in.  Had breakfast the next morning with both owners (delicious), and had a nice talk with her husband while preparing to leave.  Easily the best experience I've had to date as far as feeling welcomed and at home while on the road.  I plan to return soon with my wife and kids to stay a weekend to take in the whole experience.  I can't recommend enough the hospitality and friendliness of the owners.

A very warm welcome from Joann in a quiet and homely location. We stayed in the Blue room with no ensuite but a dedicated bathroom nearby. Even though the bed was a bit creaky, it didn’t spoil our stay. A very good breakfast was served for all guests around a big table which was very enjoyable, as we shared stories and travelling experiences.
Time flew by and nearly 2 hours later we realised it was time to continue our journey!


Arrived here one afternoon and were greeted enthusiastically by Joanne, the owner, who promptly showed us around our beautiful room (the garden king suite) with its enormous bathroom and deck overlooking the green grass and trees in the background!  We wanted to move right in!  Our breakfasts were divine, and since we were the only ones there, we felt pampered and special!  We so enjoyed the conversation as well...if you are ever in the Tupelo area, there is no better place to stay!  We also enjoyed the animals:  Layla and Lady the dogs, and Callie and Chloe the kitties plus the gorgeous horses and lake!  We took a swing by the lake after coming back from dinner...so relaxing!!!

Joanne rocks!  Her cookies and breakfast were the bomb!  The plush white robes and gargantuous bathroom and super comfy bed made our stay so nice.  Joanne drove us to the trace in the morning which was so appreciative.  The grounds were stunning and we so enjoyed the conversation.  To top off our evening we were handed the car keys to drive into town for dinner!  Did I say, you rock?

We stayed at Moon Lake Farm B&B while driving the Natchez Trace Parkway.  Very comfortable room (Garden Suite) and Joann is a delightful host.  She provided great tips for our adventure and breakfast was yummy!

My husband and I had the best stay at Moon Lake Farm! Joann welcomed us with open arms and showed us to a beautiful room with a huge bathroom overlooking the fields, lake and horses. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the swivel chairs watching the views and reading, also swinging on the swing by the lake. Joann's breakfast was delicious served on our balcony. I cannot recommend this place enough and we would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this delightful B & B. The room was very clean and comfortable and so quiet. The view of the lake and the horses grazing was beautiful and so relaxing. JoAnn is a delightful host and provided plenty of dinner recommendations and a delicious breakfast complete with homemade biscuits...she even shared her recipe and baking tips with me. Very enjoyable stay and we’d love to return some day.

This is such a beautiful property, very peaceful. The rooms were nice and spacious. Breakfast was great and the owners were very welcoming! We really enjoyed our stay very much! We would definitely recommend this B&B.

Our rooms were large with very comfortable beds.  Joann made us very welcome and provided whatever we needed.   We enjoyed the grounds and peace and quiet and went on our way very happy having had a wonderful breakfast and interesting conversation.  Highly recommended when visiting the Tupelo area.

Such a wonderful place for a B&B!  A sweet farm with horses and cattle.  Room and bed were very comfortable.   Breakfast was the best!  We so enjoyed our host and her helper.  They made us feel like long time friends!

Relaxing stay in the country

We’re so pleased we decided to spend a couple of nights here on our tour of the Deep South. What a place and what wonderful hosts! We were greeted on arrival by Joanna who showed us to our luxurious accommodation - large bedroom and the largest bathroom I’ve ever considered across on the first floor of Moon Lake Farm with private access through the back garden and up a small flight of wooden stairs. It had everything you could wish for and Joanna also presented us with some home made banana cake, fruit and water. The view was tremendous - out into the paddocks, goats pen and fields which stretched for miles one way and the other across the large lake where I was invited to fish! 

The bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve slept in. 

For breakfast Joanna has invited some of her friends who were so friendly, chatty and interested to hear about England as we were to hear about life in Tupelo. Breakfast was sumptuous, served at the family dining table and a never ending supply of different mouthwatering delights. 

The following day we took breakfast with Joanna’s husband Mike who was so very interesting to talk with about his Scottish and partly Irish ancestry. Breakfast was different but just as tasty - porridge, asparagus, scrambled egg and toast.  

We were spoiled for two days and we say a big thank you. 

If you get a chance to stay here - don’t think twice - it’s  big alright !
