Melpo Antia Hotel & Suites

I can't say enough good stuff about this place. The staff were all great and very pleasant to talk to whenever the need arose. The food on the all inclusive was generally of very good quality with different themes each evening for dinner. The restaurant staff were very helpful, pleasant and quick to clear tables so there was always somewhere to sit. The apartment/room was very nicely decorated and in good order with a nice kitchenette with a fridge and a good quality TV in the seating area to watch if you fancy a bit of time in your air-conditioned room. Air conditioning was included in our price and was very welcome with the weather being so hot. We got a room with a balcony with a pool view which was a nice place to sit and chill. Any (very) minor issues we had during our two week stay were tackled immediately and helpfully by the attentive staff. It's also worth noting that the plug sockets are 3-pin UK type so adapters won't be necessary here if you're from the UK. If you need an ironing board and iron you can get one from reception for just a 10 Euro refundable deposit. Our rooms were cleaned every day very thoroughly with any mess we'd left lying around on the floor (clothes etc.) carefully handled by the cleaning staff, all the towels replaced, beds remade, floors mopped, bins emptied and on the one occasion we forgot to wash our coffee cups they cleaned those too. The pool is decent and it was easy enough to get a sun lounger at pretty much any time of day until the pool shuts at 18.30. The Melpo Antia is very well positioned in the middle of the main part of Ayia Napa with great access to bars, restaurants, car hire etc., all within walking distance. The only thing I would have like it to be closer to was Nissi beach but you can easily get a bus or taxi there if needed. We made great use of the drinks included in the all-inclusive package. We didn't use this option but if you want something that isn't listed in the all-inclusive you get a hefty discount on it which is pretty generous. I didn't get his name but the young, Pakistani guy behind the bar was an absolute legend, always there for a chat, very helpful and friendly and made the stay even more enjoyable than it already was and was a credit to the already incredible staff. It's the first time I've been to Cyprus and if one thing sticks with me it'll be how pleasant everyone was and how happy they are that you've visited there, unlike some other, popular holiday destinations. Even the bus driver that took us back to the airport gave a lovely speech at the airport to the passengers about us revisiting (and about how much he loved the Premier League). This has been my favourite family holiday and the manager and staff of the Melpo Antia should be proud of the way the establishment is run. Honesty, I loved this place and will definitely be back.
