We were planning a 2 night stay in Charleston after New Year's Eve and wanted to find a spot in the historic district that would allow us to walk to dinner and sights. From our search, you could spend significantly more money to stay in this area but I doubt you will find near the value, convenience and charm as the Meeting Street Inn. Cost for parking is reasonable and easy to use if planning to drive during your stay.  The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The wine & cheese happy hour was a treat (they have beer too for us non-wine folks) and a nice snack to hold one over for a later dinner reservation. The breakfast offerings were much more than we expected, and delicious. The room was spacious and had everything we needed - including a very comfortable queen bed.

The Meeting Street Inn is a lovely place to stay.  We were able to park our car and walk almost everywhere.  The breakfast, evening wine and cheese, and a hot chocolate bar one night just added some special touches.  The room was very comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful.  All in all, one of the best places we have had the pleasure to stay.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Whether we asked for restaurant recommendation or just a place to get coffee or a drink they always pointed us in the right direction. The location seemed perfect right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. The history of the hotel and look fit Charleston perfectly and made the stay and trip even better. We enjoyed have drinks at 5 on the lobby and breakfast in the morning. The room also fit the theme of Charleston giving a historic vibe. We will definitely be going back again.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at The Meeting Street Inn and couldn't be happier with our first experience with Charleston. The hotel is perfectly located in the old town with easy walking distance to all the sights and activities. The staff was very helpful and friendly assisting us with directions and recommendations. The room was very nice with and we experienced real Southern hospitality and friendliness in the lobby where the hotel served wine and snacks in the afternoon and gave us an opportunity to chat with the other guests. All in all a great experience and we can highly recommend the hotel.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Fabulous staff that are accommodating and friendly. Added  touches like breakfast, cocktail hour with cheese, crackers and sausage at 5 pm each night as well as a chocolate bar at 8 pm all an added plus. A great place to stay and within walking distance of visitor center, City Market and great restaurants.

I booked meeting street inn for the weekend of my wedding and encouraged all of my close family and friends to do the same. 

From the very start of the trip the staff was extremely inviting and kind to myself and all of my guests. They did everything they could to help alleviate the stress of the weekend and really went above and beyond to make myself and my guests feel at home.

Everyone loved the amenities (Wine and cheese hour, desert, breakfast, etc.) and enjoyed having a place where we could all congregate and relax before the next big event. The rooms themselves were in excellent condition and the beds/pillows extremely comfortable. 

I would definitely stay here again in the future and would encourage anyone else considering hotels in Charleston to do the same!

The Meeting Street Inn was the perfect stay for the "girls trip" that my mom and I planned for Charleston in January 2024. The location is absolutely ideal to easily walk to all of the historical sites and locations in Charleston. We enjoyed a carriage ride, ghost tour, the City Market, and much more! 

The staff at the Meeting Street Inn was phenomenal! We felt welcome, safe, and relaxed during our stay. We especially appreciated the valet service and never waited more than 5-10 minutes for our vehicle to be brought to the hotel when we called the front desk. 

The "extras" that the Meeting Street Inn offered were wonderful. The meat/cheese/wine reception, free breakfast, and nightly hot cocoa were added bonuses that were much appreciated. 

The rooms were charming and included 4-post beds with canopies, but also had modern features including free WiFi and great choice of TV channels. The beds were extremely comfortable and we always had plenty of towels and toiletries. 

Overall, we had an amazing stay with the Meeting Street Inn and we would highly recommend the Inn to anyone considering a stay in historic Charleston!

I came to Charleston with some friends from the company I work for and we all had a blast. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area, the hotel itself was beautiful and a joy to hang out at and it was located pretty central to everything I wanted to check out. Most things are just a short walk away.

Such a great stay at Meeting Street Inn. The staff is so incredibly friendly. My family and I had a nice time on the courtyard for their Wine and Cheese happy hour. Beautiful updated bathroom with a fantastic shower head that I ordered for my own home ;)

Very quaint hotel. It is located near the Charleston City Market, many restaurants and bus services. Enjoyed the free breakfast and cheese and wine at 5pm. Darren was very helpful in answer all our questions. Renee made sure everything was ready to go for breakfast and the 5pm wine and cheese.

We spent three nights here in January 2024. Overall, I would stay here again because the location is convenient, the price is a good value, and it is not a 'box' hotel. That being said, one might want to be aware that the parking is three blocks away (and costs $25/per day so add that to your bottom line) and the jacuzzi is cold unless perhaps it's been going all day (it didn't warm up for us after 20 minutes after we were told by the front desk it would be warm in "5 minutes").
Our first assigned traditional queen room was 315 and at the very end of a dark hallway. After requesting a closer room, we were assigned 310...brighter and an outside view of the interior courtyard. 
The inn offers a delightful evening wine and cheese social which runs from 5-6 pm each evening, and included fruit, wine, cheeses, crackers, pepperoni, and olives/small pickles. 
Their breakfast was ample with a yogurt parfait bar, breads, coffee, juice, and one hot item. I especially liked the individual omelette we had one morning.
The courtyard is sweet, peaceful, and well-maintained.  The staff were all very helpful and welcoming.

Definitely look into this Historic Inn!

The location is great for walking around the French Quarter. The Inn was comfortable and pleasant . The staff was friendly, especially the breakfast group. The room we had, the beds were very comfortable. My only concern, the beds are high up and I needed to climb the little step stool. I think those days are over for me. Bathroom was remodeled. The shower had hot water. The continental breakfast was very adequate. The happy hour was great. Plenty of snacks, the wine was great.

The Inn of Your Choice

Wonderful Stay- Highly Recommend

If you want a nice hotel in a perfect location for exploring historic Charleston, this is the place. The Inn is in an historic old building and  has a nice old Charleston atmosphere. We didn't want an ordinary chain hotel. This place has lots of character and was very comfortable, but the best part was the ease of being able to walk to all the Charleston sites we wanted to see. It is across the street from the City Market. We walked to the Visitors Center, Charleston Museum, Waterfront park and many of the best restaurants in the city.
We enjoyed the evening wine and cheese gathering and the mornng breakfast. It was nothing spectacular but was enough to get use going on our adventures for the day.
The Courtyard was a lovely place for gathering and relaxing. We enjoyed the fountain and the gorgeous flowers and plants in the garden area.
