Hengchun

Bathroom and environment are clean. The soundproof of the room is good, so I didn’t hear any noise from road or other customers. Water for shower is big and hot enough.

Beautiful hotel that looks and feels brand new. Easy to find, great location, beautiful and spacious room. Very clean. Staff was wonderful. We arrived a bit early and they allowed us to check-in an hour early. Great place. We highly recommend it.

Great place to stay!

Me and my friend stayed here for 1 night. we booked the room with "Sea View". We were not disappointed. The room is clean and the bathroom is kind of open. It's very interesting layout. Most of the time we were outside. I believe it's the same to most travelers. Therefore, the sea view to me is not a must. But the staffs there are so helpful and friendly. We rent a scooter at the B&B too. It's very convenience. The B&B is very closed to the beach and very easy to access. We also got the breakfast coupon (sandwich and a drink), we just needed to walk to a small sandwich shop closely by. The only cons I have is the bathroom. If it is a closed bathroom, it will be perfect.

Lovely and friendly B&B @ great location

Mrs. Ko and two gils at this small inn were so friendly and kind. It was true that the rooms and facility are taken care of sotidy and clean as oher guests comented. Some tips from us; they offer a meal coupon for breakfasts, and guests walk to a small sandwich joint to have their breakfasts. You can eat there or take it out. You can choose one from 3 different menues which are all non-vegi, but they are available to make a sandwich with vegitable if you ask them.We stayed 4 nights in Feb.2016,and a 4 story building was under construction in front of the inn. Because of this new buiding, the view of the beach was brocked. Only a few rooms, ex. 203 and 303 can give you a see viewfrom a balconie. Also, a noize from the construction may disturb you in day time. Lastly, the beach which this inn is facing is the Dawan beach, and swiming and surfing were inhibited there. You can swim at the Shaowan, The small beach, instead.

Feellike staying home

It reminds me of the house design in Barcelona. There are many spanish-kind B&B in Kenting. Hotel staff is friendly. Room is cute and nice decor. Breakfast is not provided by this inn. You may need to go nearest cafe tied up with here. Good value. But, B&B in Kenting is a little over pricing in general. because, it's due to beach resort in Taiwan?

Spanish design room and good location.

The hotel is located near the ocean and Kenting's main street is within a 5-minute walk. While it isn't luxurious, the hotel is great value with its very clean rooms and seaside decor. The staff speaks very limited English, but they were very friendly and helpful. One note on the rooms - there was no fixed wall between the bedroom and bathroom. While you can't see the bathroom fixtures from the bedroom, it may be too open for someone who likes his/her privacy. Highly recommended for a long weekend in Kenting.

Cute and comfy hotel by the sea

We spent a long weekend in Kenting and was very happy with Meet Kenting.  It does not have direct ocean frontage, it probably used to, but now construction has begun on a new hostel right in front, meaning the the ocean view rooms only have obstructed ocean view.  The beaches in Kenting are not that great, I think there are better beaches in nearby Thailand and Bali.  If the beach is your sole purpose to visit Kenting, I would think twice.  When we arrived they told us to come back at 3pm for check in, but after some cajoling they allowed us to have our rooms early (1.30pm).  The rooms are very uniquely decorated with marine themes.  Basic amenities are included like toothbrush, shower caps, soap etc.  

Breakfast is included, not in house, but at a cafe down the road. There is no lift in the small building, but this was fine since we didn't bring much luggage for a short weekender.  Note little or no English is spoken in Kenting, so do try to bring a Mandarin speaking friend.  

To get to Kenting, the hostel can arrange for a taxi to pick you up at the airport for TWD1,800.  They can also arrange for a driver and car for sightseeing, I highly recommend this as it saves the hassle of finding directions and worrying about parking.  TWD3,200 gets you a private driver and car for 8 hours. 

Just behind the hostel is the main shopping/dining strip.  I would avoid hostels on this strip as it is very noisy at night and has no ocean frontage.  Most of the restaurants we tried in Kenting was a huge disappointment, especially those 'Thai' restaurants where the food served bears no resemblance to the pictures on the menu.  If you go to the famous seafood market, make sure you get there early, before 6.30pm.  We were surprised to be told they are no longer accepting customers at 7pm.  And if you cannot get a table downstairs, do not try the restaurant on the 2nd floor.  Service is terrible, prices are steep and food is inedible.  Be warned.
