Mas Carlons

We found Mas Carlons on the Internet by chance. We were looking for a place to stay in Catalonia for some of the summer. The photos and description on booking.com ticked all the boxes and we booked it there and then. We like to travel independently and were keen on finding a location where we could Immerse ourselves in the local culture and experience the real Catalonia. We could not have chosen a better location. Monica and Ferran were so welcoming, making us feel relaxed and at home in our new surroundings. Our room comprised of a double room with seating area, an additional room off the main bedroom for our daughter and a bathroom all of which were beautifully furnished and decorated. We also had access to a private terrace which boasted far reaching views across the vineyard, olive groves and beyond. Monica and Ferran serve a wonderful Catalonian breakfast made from local produce, including home made preserves produced at Mas Carlons. We spent many happy evenings chatting with Monica and Ferran and their other guests in the evening. We stayed for a total of 15 nights and saw much of the local area during our stay. There's so much to see and with Barcelona, Girona and Tarragona all within reach for a day trip it is the perfect base for the independent traveller. The tranquil setting provides the opportunity for a restorative day by the pool and the town of Montblanc is only 10 minutes walk away for Tapas, dinner, shopping and a few drinks. This was by far one of the best family holidays we've had and I would recommend this location for families and couples alike. We'll certainly be returning next year, most likely with other members of our family who are eager to join us having seen our holiday photo album!
