It's a great, well-run hotel in a superb spot, overlooking the river, and a short walk from the town centre. Staff are all really lovely - pleasant and very helpful.   I'd definitely stay there again.

My husband and I went on a group tour and stayed in this hotel. I only gave it 4 stars because the wc is too small for big people and there was only one electrical socket😁 otherwise everything was perfect specially our room view!!!

Excellent staff, lovely spot 

Nice view from the balcony 

The hotel has one of the best locations in Lourdes. Just a few minutes for the Religious centre and the village centre by walk. Has stunning Pau river views (if given a front room. Side rooms have a side view). Reception area is recently redone and is clean and welcoming. However when lead into into the rooms, they are old and have their use by date well expired. Furniture is old, carpets all stained and toilet fitting show the below brass as the chromium is worn off with use.  The rooms  call for an urgent refurb. Pity that the pandemic time for this was lost. Room cleaning also leaves a lot to be desired, Dead flies were noted in the balcony sliding door. 

Food. It all started well by deterioration took place and we preferred to go eat external of the hotel, although it was already fully paid as part of the booking. There are 100s of good places to eat at. Also cheap and eating outside may save you money together with much better selection and quality. 

Staff very helpful and try to do all to help the visitors. If it was not for the staff, we would have requested another hotel during our stay. But the staff cannot do more if the food menu or refurb is not upgraded by the owners. 

I gave an average rating thanks to the staff and the hotel location.  Otherwise it would verge into a poor rating, if not less. 

Well situated, but views are not all

This hotel is only 8/10 minutes walk away from the Sanctuary, which makes it ideal for pilgrims.  We stayed for 5 nights in August, so it was rather warm at times - there was no air conditioning in the room but the reception provided us with a small fan.  The breakfast, and meals are sufficient.  Staff is polite and most of them speak English.

It is suggested that one books a room on the top floors to minimise the sound of coaches parked outside waiting for boarding passengers, and the street cleaning truck which comes very early in the mornings.  Wi-Fi in the room was not too strong - much better in the lobby.

Close to the Sanctuary

This hotel is situated very close to the Grotto area, so an excellent choice for pilgrims. Moreover, it is located right in front of the River Gave. Rooms overlooking the river have a balcony and offer a beautiful panorama. However this is not true for all rooms. Some rooms only have a tiny window overlooking other neighbouring buildings. The reception area and lobby are attractive and the staff is friendly. The Restaurant is on Floor 1 and offers decent food. Breakfast is limited but good enough with corn flakes, one croissant, one half baguette, one cheese slice, one ham slice and a portion of jam. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and orange juice are also offered. The kitchen door had a very annoying squeak that sounded every time a waiter opened the door to serve food. All floors are served by two quick elevators. 

The hotel is unfortunately let down by its rooms. They are clean but TINY. The rooms on the river offer a nice view but are also subject to noise coming from the busy street. Groups of noisy people regularly gather on the street in the evening and at night. This tends to calm down in the late hours. The toilet is separate from the bathroom and is extremely narrow. Some reviewers on here have provided photos that show what they are really like. An overwieght person will find it most uncomfortable to use the toilet. For some reason our toilet had a constant stench of urine even after being cleaned. The bathroom is nice and functional but there is no shower curtain, meaning that water ends up soaking the floor. There is no A/C but the small fan provided was enough considering we stayed at the hotel in August. However the room only had one power socket - meaning that one has to unplug the fan in order to charge or use other devices. Packing and unpacking was most uncomfortable because of the restricted size of the room. The wardrobe is small and it is difficult to find a place to put the luggage. The beds are low so a suitcase does not fit underneath. The key card that opens the room doors also serves to open the hotel's front door should one return late when the reception staff are not there. The hotel is often used by travel agents meaning that large groups are sometimes present, resulting in the restaurant becoming crammed and noisy. WiFi requires a key ticket that expires, issued by the hotel reception. It is slow and does not reach all bedrooms. A personal 3G connection is a must if internet connection is important. Avoid this hotel if you are claustrophobic.

Excellent location but cramped rooms

I visited this hotel with a group. The foyer and reception are plain but welcoming. However the rooms were something else. 

Stained carpets, very old bedspreads, awfully coloured walls. The toilet was separate from the bathroom and the shower drain very slow i.e. it floods very easily. 

The staff were quite cordial but food was poor and presentation was awful. I noticed chipped plates and sometimes were not even washed well. Cutlery was stained indicating it is very old and used and abused.

The only good thing for me was the location, otherwise I am not impressed and I do not intend to return.

Excellent location but is in dire need of refurbishment

Excellent location - just 10 min to the Grotto.  Excellent food - abundant and ‘homemade’.  Clean linen and bathrooms.  Friendly staff.  Horribly small rooms - hardly space to put luggage - needs refurbishment.  No AC but fans on demand.  Very noisy street - windows need to be sound proof.

Not worth the money we paid! The room was so small that we barely found space to put our luggages. The food was not good and cheap. They hardly put any preparation into it. However,the staff were very helpful. I wouldn't recommend staying in it.
