Luck You Kyoto

After one family trip (3 weeks) in Japan, I don't feel qualified to speak to relative value for $$, but I will say that reflecting back, our stay at Luck You was a highlight and shared memory we will never forget. The staff were incredibly pleasant and inviting from the moment we entered from a heatwave. The room for three of us was very compact (our smallest in Japan) but lovely and memorable - like a little sleepover every night (complete with PJs!). The staff prepared us (with supplies and instructions) for the onsen across the alley, and it was a welcoming first experience for our family (which set us up well for our later travels in Japan) Luck You offered and embodied the ideal of a peaceful, quiet respite from the busy-ness and heat of the outside world. A wonderful experience.
