Loft 109 Backpackers Hostel

Staff were really professional and nice! They’re always so thoughtful of everyone. I felt safe and happy during my stay! 

Two nice balconies I could just chill and smoke too. 

People here were quite friendly and welcoming. 

Also the washing machine was great.

I would like to introduce loft109 is best backpacker in the new zeland. Feels like like a home, you can enjoy the every moment you spent in a day. Boss @rackey and manager @ravi always help like a family and your carrier you want you choise. Feel like a home.

i found the place to be really friendly. The staff took an extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. Found job easy. the place is in the city so everything is easily accessible. thanks for all the hospitality. thanks, Darshan and Gurdep

Stayed several backpack during my trip for NZ and experienced well from it. Amenities  such as providing job, laundry, enjoyment on weekend close to pubs , free WiFi, helpful staff and super calm at night. On the other hand, strict staff some time for disrespecting or not following rules. quite small but maintained well. Overall, nice place to stay and entertainment.

Best in tauranga and a buget you have

Good place with friendly Staff

Not bad.
They have lockers for the guests who stay hear for valuables etc
Why do they give u keys to look the rooms if they advise that no one locks them. But little disconcerting that the rooms are not locked automatically by the doors or the guests

So I have a private room up top and it is rubbish 
I pay 450 for bed bugs no free wifi and if it gets windy the ceiling lift up and down from time to time.
Everything needs to be throwing away
(Beds,blankets,pillows,flooring).
And the smell is disgusting

Filthy and disgusting is a understatement! There were dead bugs (flys moths etc) hidden under my folded blanket, there was also rubbish under there 2, the shower would only go cold for me and it had no shower head. The rules are out of this world I actually felt like I was staying at home with my folks... There's bugger all power sockets to charge things and the top bunk almost comes on top of you when climbing up, the staff member that was on was rude and most of the time had his ear buds in so felt I couldn't ask anything.... I DO NOT recommend spending any money or time here at all go find somewhere else like the art house etc which is 100 x better 😊

Disgusting!!

Bitten by bed bugs the entire stay(see photos attached with bed bugs) Was moved bed and then bitten even worse. Then moved room and problem continued. They also got into my clothes and problem persisted after I left. Complained to manager. Nothing done about it. No compensation. No treatment to dorm rooms. Overcharged 1 night which they denied. Absolute disgrace

The place is very expensive for what you receive. You feel like the staff is always watching you, always looking above your shoulder and commenting and controling all your acts. Too many silly rules... The shower and the lights are minuted so I ended up in my shower in the dark and had to go out of my shower and outside the bathroom to light it up again... Using the same 4 liters of water in the sink to wash the dishes of everybody, sounds clean??? The dishes were all durty. I did a lot of hostels in my life, one of the worst. Not recommended...
