The place is just truly great if you want to getaway from it all. This property is one of the places that look better than the pictures on the website. You dont want to leave when you get here awesome!

Beautiful chalets. Secluded yet close enough to all the main attractions. Friendly accommodating staff. It's in a beautiful location too. This is a great place and one which I'd happily return to many times over.

Lekker place where you can rest your body and soul. Beautiful and tranquil surroundings. Close to waterfalls, town and other attractions and yet far enough from everything so you have peace and quiet. Unobtrusive service and awesome host. Recommend to anyone who loves nature and needs a recharge! 

We loved staying at Lisbon Hideaway, the river running past the property is such a treat! The position is very convenient, close to all the main tourist sites and walking distance to the Lisbon waterfall which was the highlight of our trip. 

We were overwhelmed by being in nature and slightly off the beaten track.
Still very close to Graskop, but just far enough not to see the lights and hear the hustle and bustle from traffic!  Loved every second.

 What great staff and facility. Positioned in a great spot,  we have the best experiance and will most definatly be back. This time for a little longer. ;) I would highly recommended them.

The stone cottage is beautiful and clean and the surrounding country side is a magnificent site to see. My boyfriend and I couldn't have chosen a better accommodation in a beautiful location to spend the weekend. We haven't stopped bragging about our brisk holiday in the forests of Graskop. 

Our stay at Lisbon Hideaway exceeded our expectations and was just what we wanted. Phillicity was a wonderful host, helping us with our itinerary, making sure we had everything we needed and passionate about her home and environment. The wooden chalet was amazing with everything we needed both inside and outside with lovely views and a river walk to see if we could we the resident otters.- found poo but no sighting. We cooked both nights we stayed and the cottage has everything we needed and is well equipped with plates, knives etc.

The location is beautiful and perfect for the main sights on panarama route and Graskop for shopping and eateries.

On the advice of Phillicity we had lunch at the pot luck bush restaurant - simply wonderful traditional SA food in a lovely location next to the river, this is cash only.

One minor thing is the cottege only has a bath and maybe a shower attachment would have been useful for hair washing.

A perfect place for a quiet and peaceful break. 

Lovely cabins on the edge of the Graskop escarpment, roomy, clean and well managed. A few minutes out of town means you can hear the stream nearby and watch the stars overhead, just awesome! Phillicity is brilliant and super accommodating. Will definitely stay there again if in the area. 

Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature and just take a break. Perfect location and distance from the panorama route attractions. Very clean. Ian our host was very nice, friendly and extremely helpful

Perfect stay at Lisbon Hideaway

One of Lisbon Hideaway's cabins provided a wonderful base for a couple of days exploration for our family of 4. The large cabin consists of an open living room, dining area and kitchen across the front, with two bedrooms and a bathroom in back. A huge covered deck affords views of the valley. The kitchen was adequately equipped for simple meals. The grounds of the 3 cabins are beautifully maintained, private, and secure. (The short access road is surprisingly rough.) We were warmly welcomed by the site manager, who was also immediately attentive when there was a problem with the hot water - quickly fixed. The property is only a short drive outside of Graskop which has stores, restaurants and all services. The weather during our visit was cold and wet, and my only caution is that the cabins are not equipped with meaningful heating for those conditions. There are electric blankets on the beds, which were essential.

Peaceful retreat

We have been here in December 2017, and as on our first stay in 2016, we really appreciate Phillicity's place (not only Graskop, but the Lisbon Hideaway cottage) and her kindness! She is not only a manageress of guest lodges ... she becomes a true friend! (Please, Phillicity, keep trying to improve your French: you're on the right track ... for you, I wrote my original text in French underneath !)
Although the weather was not perfect, we appreciate the views (God's Window, the Blyde River canyon, ...), the waterfalls (Lisbon falls, Macmac Falls, Pinnacle, ...) and the walks as well as the restaurants that Phillicity advised us to try ... Thanks again for that: it was a very pleasant stay !!
We can not wait to come back.

Nous sommes revenus ici en décembre 2017, et comme lors de notre premier séjour en 2016, nous apprécions toujours autant cet endroit (pas seulement Graskop, mais le cottage Lisbon Hideaway) ainsi que la gentillesse de Phillicity ! Elle n'est pas seulement une gestionnaire de lodges d'hôtes ... elle devient une véritable amie! (S'il vous plaît, Phillicity, continuez à essayer d'améliorer votre français: vous êtes sur la bonne voie ... )
Bien que le temps ne soit pas parfait, nous apprécions les vues (God's window,  Blyde River Canyon, ...), les cascades (chutes de lisbonne, chutes Macmac, Pinnacle, ...) ainsi que les promenades et les restaurants que Phillicity nous a conseillés d'essayer ... Merci encore pour ça: c'était un séjour très agréable !!
Nous avons hâte de revenir.
