I loved our room private pool it was really nice and the friendly staff very nice will definitely come again. The location was good for relaxing far away from busy cities,. Will definitely recommend any1 to book there


Lions Rock Lodge is definitely a little piece of heaven. It's beautiful, serene and the staff are super friendly. A perfect getaway to relax and give yourself a break from the hustle and bustle of city living. 

It was a breath of fresh air how friendly the staff were, felt like I left there having made friends. Being able to see hippos on our way to dinner was breath taking. It was a Wonderful experience and highly recommended.

The team at Lions Rock really looked after us. They brought us a gorgeous bottle of white wine in celebration of our anniversary. The rooms are incredible: Jacuzzi bath indoors, and a pool outside - our own pool for our room. I'd certainly recommend this place.

Had a fantastic stay at Lions Rock. We booked all three rooms which overlook a stunning view. A lovely pool to cool off after a hot day. The new young owners are in the process of turning Lions Rock into a very nice holiday venue. We had a lovely walk down to the river rapids where they have created a new Brilliant Camp site. (Re reception area as per a review some other client made? If you wanted 5 star luxury you came the wrong place. We experienced 5 star hospitality from the new owners and a beautiful place to relax. Give these young entrepreneurs time to make any cosmetic minor repairs. Breakfast was very welcome before the start of the new day. A visit to the local Tanks Bush Pub is a must do experience for every visitor!!  Thank you once again for welcoming all of us to Lions Rock... Wishing you all the best in your new venture. What a lovely place to get away from the craziness that was 2020! With each unit having it's own splash pool, we were guaranteed privacy and safety while still being able to enjoy soaking up some sun in the pool, and just relaxing! The room configuration and amenities is also quite lovely, although I do think they could pay more attention to cleaning the shower and toilet - seemed like it's just wiped down, not scrubbed...be sure to carry your sanitizer (this applies to anywhere you go now)! While there is a lovely private braai area, cutlery and crockery is minimal, so also maybe carry along a Tupperware to store your cooked meat. Breakfast was basic - the hot breakfast being sausages and eggs with toast (we were told they alternate mushrooms and baked beans, but there was none), and the regular cold breakfast of cereals, muesli and yoghurt, and some fruit - I must admit the muffins were excellent! Staff are super friendly and helpful, always smiling and accommodating - they arranged our game drive to Kruger National Park, quickly and efficiently, packed a brekkie box to take along and we were picked up from the lodge. Overall, our stay was quite pleasant.

It is a very nice place,very intimate and spacious.Me and my partner enjoyed de facilities view and the private pool and braai area.it is clean and the satff was also nive and friendly and offered good service 

It is a beautiful place with amazing views and a lovely private pool, i wouldnt mind going back. Although getting in on the first day was a struggle but attended to after a short call. The staff was friendly and their breakfast was just ok, but loved how they present cold breakfast before your hot breakfast

We stayed at Lions Rock Golf Lodge Over Valentines weekend, the room was well cleaned and tidy. The breakfast was served in the reception area and was great. The only thing that management can sort out is the bathtub of which the pump is not functioning, the whole pump is covered with soil and hasn’t been working for quite some time. Other than that we had a nice stay.

Average Stay

Place is clean and beautiful but I don't understand the whole two double beds when we stated we a couple and so we told that's how it is. We had a private Jacuzzi that wasn't working and they said it will be fixed. We even left without enjoying that benefit. We asked to be booked for Lunch and Supper on the Saturday but they never got back to us.
Wasn't really value for money.
