Legends on the Farmington

I decided to do something different for my birthday weekend this year, so I found this wonderful Lodge located in NW CT. My husband and took off for a relaxing weekend away and stayed at the Lodge. We visited a few stores in the area, visited the Barkhamstead Dam, and went to Lunch at the Log house just a mile away from the Lodge. The food was amazing. The breakfast at the lodge was very yummy. Fresh eggs, Yogart, blueberries, granola, cereal, and the best coffee cake in the world. We stayed in Room 2 with the King size bed, fireplace, private deck and large bathroom with a huge claw tub for 2. Very romantic.. It was a nice Feb weekend, and we sat near the firepit, placed with the owners dogs, Miss Honey, Brookie, and Nookie (AKA Frankie - I called him that because he reminds me of the dog in MIB) We didn't have time to fish, just relaxed and enjoyed our time away. I was super impressed on the decor and little things about the Lodge. 1st - The Flooring, I knew it was an old barn material, talking to Heather the caretaker, it came from an old Tobacco barn walls, LOVE IT>>> The colors of the lodge were very cosy and warm. Kitchen was amazing,,, I caught my self actually cleaning up for everyone else because I was so in love with the house. And The DECK... OMG, my dream deck. I have nothing negative about this place, its absolutely amazing, and We will be back for our anniversary in sept. Thank you to Sal and Erin for opening your wonderful Lodge to us, and Heather (caretaker), you are amazing and can't wait to see you soon... Thank you again for a WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY WEEKEND>
