Chalet Mazot

Stayed at the Chalet Mazot mid April 2017 and it was fab. I've stayed with Mountainsun in Tignes before but this was my first trip to La Plagne and it was great.
The Chalet staff were great (thanks Kat, Rosie and Ben), and the food was brilliant. 
Access to the ski lifts in the morning was very easy and we could also ski back nearly to the chalet.
We also skied over in Les Arcs by using the Vanoise express cable car which was really easy to get to from the Chalet (1 x ski lift and 1 x piste). La Plagne and Les Arcs make up the wider Paradiski ski area and it's a brilliant and Huge ski domain.
Les Coches is a great little village too.

Once again MountainSun has done us proud. Kat, Rosie and Ben have been great hosts. Great atmosphere and nice mix of guests. Food has been delicious. Ski conditions in Les Arc and La Plagne have also been perfect with plenty of snow and sunshine. 

We were a party of ten and have just come back from staying at this lovely chalet.  Our chalet hosts were Kat and Rosie who were fantastic it felt like home from home and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was plentiful, afternoon tea and cake was lovely and the three course evening meal with plenty of flowing wine was amazing.  Tea and coffee was available at all times, there was an honesty bar which was really reasonably priced.  Our shoes were collected from the ski shop and dropped back days later when we dropped our skis off, and they even  took us out in the evening to the local club which was great fun! I can truly say that we have never felt so welcome.  The chalet is definitely ski in and out which is great no long ski hike or bus to get to the slopes which is great. The chalet is situated such that you can access les arcs and la plagne both instantly.  All in all I highly recommend this chalet if you are looking for fantastic hosts, food, fun and skiing. Returning to La Plagne again this year - but our first experience of a catered chalet.

A cosy and charming chalet, good food and great hosts. The chalet is well placed for the village and ski lifts (200m ) and the skiing at La Plagne and Les Arcs was  excellent as usual.

We were a group of 11 gents and enjoyed the craic with the other 4 guests who shared the dining with us - good fun and games were had by all.

Would recommend for another short -break.

Felt like staying with friends!

Great ski short break

This is slumming it in typical mountain sun style. The rooms were dark, dingy and barely equipped with anything, worse than Tignes. The hosts were very nice people and could knock up a decent meal, better than Tignes.
the honesty bar was a great idea and very reasonable in price. The place wasn't full but it was still a squeeze round the single table and of course with so few people and one table there was no escaping the big-mouthed bores in the evening. 
The piste isn't that close either - to walk down a lot of steps to or climb the ice wall at the back of the chalet. Coming back, use the ice path at your own risk, experienced skiers only.
Lots of decent runs close by and good access to Les Arcs.
If you want to ski and don't care what you stay in then this could be the place for you. If you like ANY sort of comfort at all, look for somewhere else.
