Stayed for 3 days after completing offshore project Shared the room with a co-worker. It was quite a surprise to both of us when we entered the suite. It was lovely. The lower level had a Balcony overlooking the main street, Stove, Refrigerator, a bathroom, tv and dining room. Upstairs; one bedroom and bath, with hardwood flooring and A/C.
I volunteered to stay in the living area despite there being a single and double bed upstairs, since the couch was quite comfortable.
The Hotel owner was quite helpful despite her not being fluent in English. We used Google translate to communicate when we needed to, but just on the first day. There is also a washer and dryer available with detergents. And it is one of the best priced hotels in Cayenne. The single rooms are quite good as well. (We had another worker with us at the same hotel). If you are looking for a really well priced hotel in Cayenne, this has to be one of the best options. It does not look like it from the outside but once you enter one of the rooms, you will remember this review. Highly recommended.

Unassuming and well priced

I didn’t stay in the hotel.but I had dinner and a drink. You can sit on the terrace.I had a kebab and French fries together with a fruit juice.the price is quite okay for cayenne. The food was nice.the bar-restaurant seems to be very popular and the lady behind the bar was very efficient and nice. I would really like to recommend this place.

I really liked this place.  The rooms have been newly refurbished, there are tons of electrical outlets (I counted 15).  The manager speaks English and is very helpful and accommodating.  Free wifi and flat screen TV.  And, the hotel is centrally located downtown and within walking distance of everything.  The ONLY reason I didn't give this a 5-star rating is not because of the hotel itself but because of the lack of Life Safety Code standards in French Guiana.  As in many hotels, the room key is attached to a plastic badge that you put in a slot to activate the electricity in the room upon entry and deactivate upon leaving.  Which means in the event of an emergency / evacuation you have to remove the plastic badge and then unlock the door - no emergency push bar or door handle to exit.  And then because the front door of the hotel is locked at night you also would need to unlock that door with another key (there is no second exit) which similarly has no emergency push bar.  Again, this isn't a reflection on Le Dronmi as much as it is on the lax Life Code Safety standards in the country.  One other heads up is that if you arrive at the hotel other than 6:00 a.m. to midnight (7:00 a.m. on Saturdays & 9:00 a.m. on Sundays) there is no way to get into the hotel (room keys are given out at the Bistro next to the hotel).  My flight arrived at 3:15 a.m. and I got to the hotel around 4:30 a.m.  - I had to wait until the Bistro staff arrived to get my key.

Convenient and Newly Decorated

The location is great. On the main street that has everything. There is a restaurant attached . The owner is helpful enough. The room is clean. Equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave, TV . This is the most I've paid for a room, I guess that price is standard in Cayenne.

Great location in Cayenne

The Hotel Le Dronmi is a lovely place to lite if you are headed to Cayenne French Guiana. It is certainly the hippest place around. I rented a two-floor apartment for less than I would pay for a very poor and shabby hotel room in NYC. The woman who run it is lovely. They serve no food here, but good local food is all around.
