We stayed just one night at the Lazy Dolphin. It is a good location - easy to find and easy access on foot to the beach. Our room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. There is a nice kitchen/lounge area upstairs - we didn't bother to use the downstairs one. You can hire a towel, but it would be easier to bring your own. Little Hector's dolphins are seen from the beach most days quite near the surf line apparently - we certainly saw them - just gorgeous! It is definitely worth a walk down to see the petrified forest as well - visit Curioscape for details.
