Atlixco is well known for having a wide variety of restaurants. Unfortunately, many close after just a few months in service. Fortunately, Las Calandrias is one of the good restaurants that have not closed in a long time. They offer a varied buffet, both for breakfast and lunch, with an ample selection of dishes. They also have a service island where you can ask for specific dishes, such as eggs prepared in many ways, tacos, meat cuts, and so on. The price is competitive, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The restaurant is in what once was a "hacienda", and has lots of green areas, peacocks and swans. It also serves a a boutique hotel, ideal for a couple of days of full relax.
