Lake St Peter Cottage Resort

We booked a few cottages for a weekend with 3 families and had an absolutely wonderful time! Brad and Dori were great hosts and even set up a few activities including a boat ride for the kids in our group. The beach was perfect and it was great all around. Highly recommend it and will be back again!

Even got a flat tire that the hosts helped try and repair on the Sunday as nothing was open in the area. 

We'll be coming back again next summer without doubt as it was a prefer settings for multiple families.

My husband and my plan for our honeymoon fell through so we called Brad and Dori and they were more than welcoming to accommodate us!  We spent a PERFECT week enjoying the peace and beauty of South Shore Cottage Rentals .  I can't wait to visit again!!!!!

This property is amazing! Right on Lake St Peter with a beach ⛱, boats, bbq's and so much more! The cottages are perfect, the property stunning. An incredible location to just chillax or go crazy 🤪 with fun activities. Every cabin is self-contained with a kitchen, living room, dinning room, bedrooms and a bathroom. Our hosts, Dori and Brad, were exceptional! This property is for sale, I wish🙄



I NEEDED a lone "BreakAway"!!  I called and booked cottage #1 and it was perfect!  It was clean, the bed was more than comfortable and the cottage contained everything I needed to make my stay worry-free!  I sat on the deck reading my book overlooking the lake. The view it's self was worth a million dollars and the sound of the Loons in the morning was most welcoming!  The sunset was amazing!  Dori and Brad started a fire for us and we had some good chats while star gazing!  My privacy was respected but I knew they were there if I needed ANYTHING!!  2 days was not enough! I'll be back next year for at least a week (and the welcomed my fur-baby with open arms!!)

An amazing property with even more amazing owners. Brad and Dori did everything and then some to make sure we had everything needed. Brad even put on a big surprise for the kids after building them up all week. Would highly recommend these cottages for a family vacation. Great beach and swimming area.

We had an amazing time with our three young kids. They loved every moment we were there. The owners Brad and Dory went above and beyond daily to ensure we all had a good time. The beach was lovely, the cottages were clean and well kept, and the views were just perfect. This is a spot we will go back to year after year!

Just had a wonderful family vacation. The owners Brad and Dory went well out of their way to make sure our holiday was everything it should be and more. Special dinners for all the cottages,taking everyone tubing, creating a little fantasy treasure hunt involving pirates,treasure maps,gold,chocolate coins,jewlery and more all for pleasing the children. The beach is perfect for small children. There is a great little playground and the cottages are a little rustic but very clean and well cared for. Very cottage has it's own fire pit.

First of all, pay NO attention to the outdated negative reviews of South Shore Cottage Rentals!!! They reflect previous owners of the place and in no way represent the current condition of the cottages and property. My family had a wonderful stay in a 3 bedroom cottage. It was bright, spacious, homey and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The lakeside view from the cottage was beautiful. The winter vistas were lovely so I can imagine summer and fall would be amazing. Brad and Dori are very accommodating, friendly hosts and you can tell that they work hard to ensure their guests’ experience is excellent. Brad was kind enough to offer our fishing enthusiast sons use of the ice fishing hut and even provided them with minnows. He also provided firewood for us to enjoy a lakeside fire. The location is excellent and the east gate of Algonquin Park (the main reason for our visit to the area) is an easy 25 to 30 minute drive. The price for the cottage was reasonable, especially with 5 of us staying (and could have accommodated more). I would definitely recommend South Shore Cottage Rentals and we hope to be back to visit again soon!

Second stay at South Shore, new owners are amazing, couldn’t ask for a better weekend getaway.  Awesome location close to trails for ATV and snowmobiling. Beautiful sunsets, clean and comfortable accommodation at a great Price! I would highly recommend this place summer or winter.

AMAZING, ONCE AGAIN!!!!

Awesome Place

The cottages need lots of updating and not clean.  Lots of webs and bugs on the windows and ceilings (should have been cleaned off) and the window screens were falling off the windows which allowed bugs to get in at night.  No AC was warm at night.  Hosts were ok, but don’t don’t allow for privacy.  The lake was the best part of the trip, very clean and beautiful!
