There are a bunch of selling points for La Rose B&B. The owners and staff are very friendly; during my stay one of the owners made a point to chat with the guests during breakfast. The owners were very knowledgeable about the area's attractions and freely gave suggestions about where to go sightseeing or to go eat. The breakfast wasn't elaborate but was still exceptional in that much of it, including bread, muffins, muesli, yogurt, preserves, and marmalade were all made in-house. The dining room itself was beautiful, as were the rooms (because of some booking mix ups on my part I got to stay in three different ones). The location is also a selling point. Even though it's in a cozy neighborhood, it's still very close to a lot of the best the city center has to offer. It is located a short walk to the eateries on Long and Bree Streets as well as to the shops and shopping at the de Waterkant/ Cape Quarter area. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. 

One of the friendliest and most helpful B&B's I've stayed at. 

We really enjoyed our stay, it is in an old house that has character. The owners are really friendly and we enjoyed good conversations with them. We even could use their breakfast room one day when it was too rainy to use their roof terrace. If you like older properties with little nooks and crannies and some steps here and there and nice fixed up rooms then this is your place. Lots of plants around as well. On the whole: good stay, we can recommend the place.

I stayed around 6 days in La Rose B&B. 
The best breakfast with freshly baked bread, beautiful mornings on a terrace, comfy bed, clean room, very friendly staff and the most knowledgeable person I’ve ever met Yoann-host of the guest house. I felt very comfortable, secure and welcomed. Even though it was my first solo trip to completely unfamiliar place. Thank you Capetown! Thank you La Rose B&B!

The best solo trip

When you mention Cape Town, you probably think of Table Mountain, sunshine, wine and the colours of Bo-Kaap.
Well, amidst the 'colours' lies a bed and breakfast with a perfect location, secure entrance, friendly service, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast (with the best marmalade jam I've ever had!) and a great host in Yoann who is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and engaging. A genuinely nice guy.
Finally, he also gave me the number of a local guide, Madeeg, whom is from Bo-Kaap. I very highly recommend him. He's friendly, knowledgeable, professional, punctual and tall so you'll feel very safe with him at all times. Just ask Yoann for his number because he's the perfect guide for Cape Town. 
And so is La Rose for your accommodation in this beautiful city because this B&B really is more than just colour.



More than just colour

We absolutely loved our stay at La Rose where we welcomed by Yoann. Yoann is a great host who took time to give us some local tips which was really appreciated. We also enjoyed the shared breakfast with other guests where we were able to learn more on how things go in South Africa and Cape Town specifically thanks to Yoann. It was also nice to be able to talk French with Yoann. It was the perfect way for us to end our almost 4 week honeymoon through South Africa. Breakfast was also amazingly good!

Amazing welcome and very well located

La Rose is wonderful place to stay.  We received a warm, welcoming reception. Our room (Crimson Room) was very clean and spacious with numerous functioning outlets (220V -We brought a 120V converter with us) in addition to having an incredible view of "Table Mountain"

Wonderful Place

Staying at La Rose B&B in Bo Kaap, Capetown was wonderful!
Yoann is very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay. 
La Rose B&B is situated pretty central, not far away from downtown Capetown and the Central Business District.

Great place to stay in Bo Kaap, Capetown

We had the crimson suite, really beautiful room with a perfect view on the table mountain. Yoann and his team made us feel very comfortable. We enjoyed really that Yoann joined us every morning for breakfast. Thank you so much!! 

Perfect place

It was our first visit to Cape Town and we could not have picked a better location than the Bo Kaap neighborhood, which is an interesting destination in its own right, and in walking distance to the city center and the V & A wharf. The breakfasts were hearty and served in a communal setting with our host Yoann always present to talk about history, logistics or anything you are curious about. He was also very responsive via WhatsApp. The staff were top notch— reliable, trustworthy and accommodating. We were able to handle most things on our own but we needed help they were always there! We will return to La Rose without question!

Excellent value, location and staff

This is a nice location in Cape Town, at the edge of Bo Kaap. Yoann, the owner, is very helpful and welcoming. He has a lot of things to tell and a good knowledge of the SA history and situation. I really enjoyed the breakfasts in his company, and the nice decoration and atmosphere. Superb view from the roof.
Rooms are comfortable.
Security is ensured and not oppressive.
