La Razetta

Lovely, detached and quietly situated house high above Bastia within a magnificent garden of mediterranean herbs. Clean, big and comfortable apartment with great equipment, including microwave, four-plated gas stove, washing machine, dishwasher, hairdryer. Mrs Ramazzi was a great host, with lots of good tips for great hikes and other worthwhile visits (far beyond the normal touristy stuff), and was always keen on making the stay as rewarding and abundant as possible. Dishing up breakfast or dinner in the garden is a treat, looking over the sea to Elba, and overlooking the landings on Bastia airport in the far distance. (Note: hiring a car is mandatory to reach the places you want to visit; distance from the apartment to Bastia is 5km, with around 400m difference in altitude; no public transport in the mountains.)
