The restaurant by the guesthouse with the same name is fantastic! It was our stop every morning. Excellent espresso drinks and the best Burrito I have ever had! Fabulous little restaurant and so cozy. Highly recommend. My daughter loved it as much as I did. Friendly service.

We rented the entire place for our wedding weekend. Combination of friends and family stayed and we used all the rooms.  Most everyone were first time visitors to the area and loved it. We married at the overlook where the Pegasus stands. 

The staff were wonderful!! Noemi, Sandy and Lupe attended to all our needs. The food for the reception was soooooo good!   

We wanted to share what Terlingua and Big Bend was about to our friends and family - and La Posada was the perfect HQ for everything.

This place is simply amazing. Mimi and Sandy have done an incredible job. Their attention to detail shines through in every aspect of this hotel. 

My husband and I booked three nights in “Mimi’s Suite” and wished we could have stayed longer. It’s that kind of place where you arrive and immediately think, “I’m never leaving!” The views from the room were breathtaking. The bed super comfortable. The pillows were not up to snuff but that was our only lament. Outside there is a shared refrigerator for the beer you’ll want to enjoy as you sit in the patio basking under the remarkable blanket of stars. 

On an upper level is a community kitchen that seemed really well stocked. If we’d had more time would definitely have utilized that option. 

We also appreciated that the hotel is an easy walk to the Starlight Theater for dinner or the breakfast joint just down the road. 

I know we will always treasure our time in Big Bend and La Posada Milagros!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and thought it the best place we stayed on our road trip. Our room was the Santa Elena which has an en suite. 

The bed  and bathroom linens were top quality and we slept very well each night. The bathroom is gorgeous and I have no idea what another reviewer thought was ‘hazardous’. Toiletries are good and water pressure makes for an excellent shower. 

Restaurants nearby are good for where you are and the cafe at the end of the access road is outstanding for breakfast. We tended to light the fire early evening and sit out on our patio where the view is spectacular.

It was wonderful!  Adobe style, low ceilings, totally modern including the bathroom, and a wonderful bed!  We stayed at the Santa Elena #1 casita which adjoins the other rooms by the outside walkway.   Very private. Such a cool place.  Lots of outside courtyard space for to enjoy the fire pit and the stars. Great mountain views. Open air common area kitchen with all the things you'll want to cook with - gas range, utensils, fridge, workspace. Ample parking.  Be sure to read the arrival instructions as the units are NOT attended by a receptionist. You must pick up your key at the espresso shop.  We can't wait to return!

We chose La Posada Milagro based on other reviews. What a cool spot to settle in Terlingua! Joel, our host, was helpful in numerous ways. He was quick to respond to questions and made sure we were comfortable. The outdoor kitchen is an added bonus. There was ample room in the 'fridge, the grill worked well and there were plenty of plates, pots, pans, etc. We look forward to staying here again....someday!

We stayed at La Posada for three nights and it was amazing.  The guest house are set into a hillside in the Terlingua Ghosttown. The views of the desert and the mountains in the distance are incredible. 
The room (we were in Mimi's Guesthouse) was clean, warm (it was freezing outside every night) and well decorated. My only minor complaint is that the water didn't get very hot, but since this is the desert and I suspect normally this is not a concern, it didn't take away from the experience at all. 
There were little outside seating areas sprinkled through the property, with two right outside our room. I loved the bird feeders for bird watching and the star gazing was out of this world.
Last great thing was the location. You're able to walk to the coffee shop and the Starlight Theater down the hill,  which was a bonus after long days driving in Big Bend. 
Can't wait to go back one day!

Coffee shop has amazing food. Even in hot temperatures you can stay cool while you wait for your food with their lovely shaded area. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and it did not disappoint. They also are very COVID cautious so you’ll feel safe.

This is an unusual Coronavirus related review. My husband and I were planning to travel from Ireland to Texas in late March 2020 to visit our son who was on a 1 year contract there. We organised a visit to the big bend which we were really looking forward to. Unfortunately we weren’t able to travel due to the restrictions in travel from Ireland imposed in mid March. The Posada Milagro were super understanding and empathetic to us as we needed to change our reservations. I look forward to staying there when we visit when the world is back to normal. 

My husband and I stayed at La Posada Milagro guesthouse in the Chisos suite (4 night stay).  We just returned from the Terlingua/Big Bend trip last night (it was a January trip) and my husband and I keep remarking on how wonderful, quirky and just delightful La Posada was.  The staff was top knotch and the guesthouse and the grounds were kept pristine clean.
We had amazing views of the big skies in all directions. A short stroll down a small hill took us to the delicious coffee house/espresso restaurant.  We enjoyed several breakfasts there--delicious burritos and eggs benedict and wonderful lattes.  Part of the attraction there was to just sit on the porch, relaxing over breakfast, and talk to the interesting locals and tourists.  So relaxing!!!
The hotel was nicely situated for day trips into Big Bend National Park (and also one into the state park).  Both my husband and I recommend Mimi's La Posada Milagro highly. (The owner, Mimi, is an interesting and accomplished woman). We travel a lot and this place beacons us to return.

We were last minute and we were able to book the bunk bed room. Really cute rustic room. Probably one of the best sleep I’ve had since being on the road at hotels for 2 wks. Yes we shared a fridge - really was not a big deal and I wish we had the time to take advantage of the fire pit etc but it looked really cozy. The view was awesome too! I would def recommend!!

Great place!

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. On one hand, the decor is really cool and the views are breathtaking - from the parking lot, the outdoor kitchen area, and even from laying in bed! (we stayed in the Chisos Suite). Our room - and in particular the bathroom - was spacious, and well-appointed. It is also in a great location just up the hill from the Starlight Theatre, and the night sky from the patio area is unreal on a clear night. Lastly, I appreciated the outdoor kitchen area, which had a communal fridge, oven, etc. Maybe we just got lucky, but we had a fantastic time hanging out in the communal outdoor area each night enjoying the sunset and star-gazing with some other fun and like-minded couples (that we did not know before staying at the hotel). THAT SAID, I had minor terrors the entire time we stayed in this hotel because it is NOT airtight. By that, I mean there are gaps underneath the doors to the outside (in the room and in the separate door to the outside in the bathroom) as well as in some of the windows that are blocked by wood rather than an actual window pane. Not ideal if you are terrified of spiders like I am. I never actually saw any spiders, but I also stuffed towels in all the door/window gaps to avoid letting any creepy crawlers in. The window in the bathroom also has no covering on it so in theory if someone were to stand on the hill outside our room they would be able to see right into the shower. Last three things to point out - the bathroom is very dark at night and early-mornings (difficult for getting ready), there is a step up into the bathroom which can be a bit treacherous in the dark at night, and  be warned that you cannot flush your toilet paper. Nothing too bad or inconvenient but just something to take note of. Also, be warned that not all rooms have a priave bathroom.

My wife and I stopped in and had breakfast because we heard it was great, and it certainly was. The service was friendly and all the people seemed lovely. My wife had the French Toast and I had the Poco Mas Plate which was great. We both had Cappuccino's that hit the spot. Great place for breakfast and lunch.
