Whilst I didn’t get to stay in this hotel due to family reasons. Francoise has gone out of her way to make sure I was not out of pocket. Can’t fault the service she has given me. Francoise, thank you so much for making a tough time that little bit easier and we’re hoping to stay in December.

Great customer service

We stayed with our two kids and booked a suite, it was a good size space and amazing location. It’s a mix between a B&B feel with a hotel since there are only four rooms so don’t expect the same amenities of a larger hotel.  The reception closes early but super responsive by both email and phone. When we had an issue with our electricity, we called and it was fixed immediately. We had pleasant weather but one day was hot about mid 80s and the room stayed cool. We slept with open windows most nights but on a Friday night I had to close them because the noise from the bar was a bit loud.

We loved the location, it’s right by the elevator so we were able to explore both the upper and lower town. I would recommend the hotel for families, there were good restaurants within a couple minute walk, a great cafe with delicious pastries across the street, and around the corner was an awesome playground our kids loved. The bar next door was also super nice and let us bring drinks up to our room.

Very cute hotel with an amazing location.

Our family stayed in the third and fourth floor rooms. The fourth floor is very aesthetically attractive with the sloped ceilings and leafy views. The room is spacious with what Americans would refer to as a king size bed. Note that the bathroom is concealed from the main room around a corner but there is no door. There is a large tub (in the main room) but no shower. The third floor room was even more spacious with a pullout sofa with high quality mattress in roughly an American queen size, along with the main bed in the space, a king. The bathroom area is very nice with privacy glass and a shower. Both rooms are well ventilated, very quiet, and have nice views. Rooms have a small refrigerator and coffee/tea; hardwood and tile flooring and are exceptionally clean. The area surrounding the hotel is historical and has many quality resturant options. We did not reserve breakfast at the hotel but it looked delicious and we will certainly select it on our return. I recommend reserving the hotel’s parking option as we found parking difficult in the immediate area. Also note, if you are going to the top of the steep hill to get to other parts of town there is a free 24/7 elevator. The entire town is walkable from the hotel’s location, with many nice paths along the river. I would highly recommend la pipistrelle hotel if you are staying in the area.

Wonderful Hotel in Historical Area

This is a unique place to stay in the lower part of city center but easy walking to everything in Luxembourg.  We had a little trouble finding the place using google maps.  It can be confusing.  We arrived from the train station and if you make sure to turn where they indicate after a short walk and heading down you should be okay.  Unfortunately we walked way too far but eventually found the place with Olga waiting outside to greet us.  The place has 4 rooms, each on its own floor.  I know others have indicated how narrow the stairs are but truly if you have full sized luggage I'm not sure how you'd get it up the stairs.  We were in room 3 and got a good work out coming and going down the narrow steps.  If walking or climbing are issues this might be a little difficult.  The hotel is built into the side of a mountain so our large room had a wonderful rock wall which added to the character.  The window opens onto a lovely area in the older part with places to walk and eat but not too busy or noisy.  Everything was clean and spacious and Olga assisted with any questions and issues as well as providing a lovely breakfast in the morning.  If we were to return we would definitely stay here again.

A must

My husband and I stayed for one night in this charming inn in the Grund neighborhood of Luxembourg City.  Our room was on the second floor up a narrow winding staircase.  A small living room area with sofa, table and coffee station and and attached bedroom with a comfortable bed.  The bathroom is behind a glass sliding door, so not the most privacy, but modern with a good shower.  A very charming place with a great breakfast available for additional cost.  Location is perfect in the beautiful valley but right next to the elevator to take you up to the city.

Charming stay in Luxembourg

This is a really charming B&B in a great location. The staff are great too. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is the fourth floor room does not have a shower and the toilet is not behind a door (it’s just behind a partition). While this isn’t a massive issue, it is a bit uncomfortable to hear your partner use the toilet and have to take a bath (vs being able to take a shower).

Great B&B, some drawbacks on 4th floor

I booked 2 rooms for a couples trip and everyone in my group was delighted by our stay.  The rooms were cozy and clean and also had plenty of space. The location was great and we were able to walk to all meals and sightsee. We also walked to the bus for the the airport when we left. It is a longer walk from the train station but very doable. The little courtyard in front was great and we enjoyed a drink there one night. The owners and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and included eggs to order. I highly recommend and hope to come back one day.

Delightful and Charming  B&B

This bed and breakfast hotel was absolutely charming and in one of the best locations in the city. Explore the Grund right outside your doorstep, or take the elevator and go up to Ville Haute.

The rooms have been beautifully updated and the design is great. The staff is extremely friendly and made us breakfast each morning.

We did research ahead of time and booked on the second floor knowing that you have to climb stairs. It might be a hassle for the two rooms above, but that’s why the rates are discounted.

Next time we come to Luxembourg, we will definitely stay here and will recommend it to anyone else who does too.

Perfect place to stay in a perfect location

You will love this place from the minute you book and walk in. So friendly, so clean and so confortable you could stay a week. Thank You for the incredible hospitality. Made us feel like we wete at home.

I have been on many visits to Luxembourg for business.  I have  stayed at La Pipistrelle  since it has opened. It is the finest hotel/bed & breakfast in Luxembourg, with modern decor,  a peaceful environment,  fabulous service and the kindest host I have ever met.  Home from home (plus a superb breakfast).  I can thoroughly recommend this charming establishment which is perfectly located for both business and  visiting Luxembourg.
