La Dolce Vita

We arrived at the first Cinque Terre town without a hotel booked. A shop owner called across the street to a woman who came running and let us this room for the night. Perhaps it is part of the hostel by the same name but the card says hotel. The room was basic,very clean with private bath. The only room left (available only one night) did overlook the street but the street noise stopped after 10pm. We did not need the windows open as the weather was cool at night. She did not speak much English, breakfast was not included although there was coffee in the room. She allowed us to leave our luggage downstairs in her family run laundry all the next day- a big bonus! Highly recommend and the price was half the price of the other place we looked at-around 50 euro.
