La Demeure du Fierloz 

We were two couples staying for 4 nights. We took the Chateau and Romantic rooms, which were well decorated and comfortable. The panoramic views from our rooms and private terrace were exceptional. We also used the extensive games/kitchen/sauna room to relax in the evenings and make light suppers for ourselves - a real bonus after eating good breakfasts at the house and large lunches out at restaurants. With no other guests at the time, we had this room to ourselves. Artemare is a quiet rural village set in beautiful countryside, but there is plenty to do. We walked to the Cascade and around Artemare; climbed to the top of Le Grand Colombier (1,500 m) by car; enjoyed an excellent lunch at Hotel Michalet; and spent a day in and around Aix Les Bains. We were very pleased that we chose to stay at La Demeure du Fierloz, and greatly appreciated the friendly and generous hospitality of our hosts, Christian and Ida Paul.
