Want to do it again ?? ......Ooooooh, yes. A really nice spot so close to the sea, with clear threads to ancient times but with modern comforts. We were met  by the new host couple  Susanne and Bo with smiles and a warm welcome, and afterwards  well guided tour through the hotel facilities. 
The tasteful diner balanced perfectly well with the pricing, in a very relaxed environment.

Lovely place, interiors, owners, location - everything was surely far beyond expectations. Stayed for four nights, family of four with two smaller children and everyone enjoyed it (asked the older one what was the best with the overall trip so far and got the answer "The hotel. And Ninjago world at Legoland". Pretty impressive considering lots of fun stuff to choose :) We will definitely try to come back!

Are you tired of large plastic hotels where you cannot tell the difference between them? 

The Klithjem Badehotel in western Denmark has personal charm and is set a sand dune away from the best beaches in northern Europe.

The rooms are impeccably clean and the beds comfortable. There are different varieties of rooms. We always take a larger room. Breakfast is included and for residents dinner is available every evening.    The dinners are a small gem. Well composed with charming salads. In the background music to take you back to calmer days.

If you want clean air, beautiful beaches, real food, clean rooms and true relaxation, this is the place. Step back to a more relaxed time and breathe. And sleep like a baby. 

This is our third summer here and it will not be our last. 

This is our second visit (2 weeks) to this hotel as our first (3 days) was perfect. We find nothing to fault this time either. Calm and restful with the sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep.  Breakfast with everything you need. Comfortable beds and CLEAN! We also have to say that the dinners in the hotel are the absolute best meals in the town AND nearby towns. Tasty, healthy food at reasonable prices.

And although I'm a professional needing rest, I still need my wifi which the hotel provided and which was steady and reliable our entire visit.

The beach is only a few minutes walk away and you can also drive your car down on the beach  and park and "camp" from it during the day. The beach is sandy, wide and looooooong. If you like ocean bathing, this is the place! Don't miss it!

A superb small hotel.  The Owners could not do enough for us, the evening meal was delicious and served in a beautiful dining area by friendly staff.  Breakfast also was excellent as were the bedrooms.  Could not fault and would certainly stay again.  Perfect beach location for ferry terminal at Esjberg and also for touring the South Jutland area.  Thank you to the owners for making us feel so welcome.

We stayed at Klithjem Badehotel July 2,3 & 4th, 2013. We spend about 90 days a year traveling in Europe & the U.K. Our stay experience at Klithjem is the kind we hope for but rarely find. The hotel is in top condition (remodeled) and spotlessly clean, built in the 20's it has old style charm and there is plenty of parking. The rooms and bath are excellent with a big shower and the beds are comfortable. The room we had faced the North Sea and the view is terrific, with good WiFi. The rooms that face away from the sea are larger and have balconies. This hotel is peaceful and relaxing and is well located to do day trips to Ribe (ancient city), Ringkobing, Kolding and many other interesting sites. The beach is 60 yards and the North Sea is amazing. The facility is first rate.     

 Kirsten & Per are amazing hosts. Both speak clear English and are friendly, helpful, charming people.

 The breakfast is the standard northern European breakfast. The quality and taste are outstanding, everything is fresh and delicious.

The big surprise for us at Klithjem was that dinner was offered. Every morning there is a sign in the lobby stating what the menu would be that evening. You would tell them if you wanted to eat there that evening by 10:00AM each morning. The price is around $35 each for a complete meal and dessert. Every thing is fresh made and delicious. The first night on arrival we were tired and decided to try it. We then ate there all 3 nights. The main dish the first night was chicken, second night steak and the third night was wild boar. All were excellent. They have a bar that serves beer, wine and cocktails. There is a large selection of wines and beers from all over Europe, all clearly priced for selection. There are multiple other choices to eat in Vejers Strand, after the first bite we decided to eat at Klithjem. 

When we booked Klithjem Badehotel we had viewed it as just a base for our first three days in Denmark, it turned out to be one of the most pleasant parts of our trip

We will be returning to Denmark next year to visit our friends who live in Holstebro, however, we have already decided to book Klithjem Badehotel on our trip. It is a wonderful hidden treasure.
