I have had the pleasure of staying at The Kingdom Hotel twice. My first visit to Haiti, I spent months researching hotels that are affordable and close to the airport. Kingdom is the best by far. Its like a hidden oasis. The hotel grounds are well kept. There are armed security gaurds so I felt quite safe. Our rooms were nice and clean. Air conditioner in our room was always cool. There is a restaurant and bar at the hotel. Most of our nights there were spent in the pool while having yummy food and drinks. The hotel is quiet, except for Thursday nights when there is a salsa class. The staff is always polite and courteous. Room service is available. You cant find a better value for the price!! I am planning to stay there again on my next visit to Haiti!

My wife and I traveled to PAP, Haiti with our three kids back in June. The kingdom hotel was an excellent experience that We ever had. The service was excellent with a smile. The front office receptionist is fenoninal...!!! Her name was Suzette. Everyone was very courteous and happy. We couldn't complain at all. The price was reasonable. I recommend for any reason that you would traveled to Haiti please visit the Kingdom hotel a great place to stay secure and private with your family. Safety is not a concerned for them 24 hours guards and high wall fence. Also most of the UN soldiers stay at that hotel anyway.....

Was there for business for 2 weeks, nice hotel, clean room,security inside, nice conference room, small but adequate bar, food was good.Staff were pleseant and willing to cater for you, breakfast pancakes were very good

I visited in December 2012 and also in August 2013 and with both experiences had a nice time,actually in Dec 2012 had my wedding reception there which was beautiful the hall is nice and they actually built a bigger space and me and husband spend half of our honeymoon there,the staff is very pleasant and attentive,walk around with a smile and ask you is everything ok,Nice decent pool, breakfast is ok..The hotel is pretty reasonable priced and the hotel makes me feel feel like I'm in the states,will recommend especially for family vacation!!

Stayed here recently during a work trip. Like others have mentioned it is off the main road, so a bit bumpy and intimidating at first. But once you get inside the gates you see that it's a well maintained, clean property. (Very near the airport) 

Our room was clean and everything worked. The beds were pretty hard, but the fast wifi & nice shower made up for that. 

No real complaints here.

Save your money. Not sure the last time the room was cleaned. Sheets had blood on them, shower was filthy, TV did not work, air conditioning and power was sporadic, no pancakes, no juice the first day, only white rice.... hope you’re starting to see there are other hotels in this city. Yes it is a third world country but I have seen much better in this town. The only thing you may enjoy is the pool, which is very updated and well kept. Not impressed and the place is overpriced. Go to Visa Lodge. It costs less and is so much better.

THE WORST HOTEL IN HAITI!!! BEWARE!!!! (I've listed the mail points in case you dont want to read it all)there are the main points 

***reckless with your personal credit card info***
Dirty rooms, no refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee maker NO NOTHING 
Hard beds that will hurt your back because the springs are about to pop out of them. your view will be of a brick wall 
rude unmotivated staff,
when you ask for something you will likely receive it in about 2-3 hours
here is the break down of the events 
My family and I arrived in Haiti and were unable to make it to our original destination Royal Decameron due to the rioting that was going on. We decided to stay close to the Airport, I checked online and the rooms were listed for $48 per night against our better judgment we went in to inquire, The woman at the front desk told me the rooms are 125 - basically the same price as some of the higher more efficient hotels such as Karibe. We reluctantly accepted a fee of $100 since after all the website listed $48 and they were clearly taking advantage of us our hope was that the hotel would surprise us and we could recommend this boutique hotel to our friends and family that often visit Haiti. Sadly this was not the case we were IMMENSLEY  disappointed. The front desk person  argued with my elderly mom and were just over all unprofessional. In the end while she was charging my credit card for the incidentals she failed to return my card to me because she was eavesdropping on my conversation with someone else- when I went back to get my card she said to me and I quote "I gave your card to your boyfriend. This man was a complete stranger and she knew this since she was eavesdropping. This was a purposefully unprofessional and distasteful move and if not for anything  else I've said here this passive aggressive reckless behavior with my personal debit card should place you on high alert. fortunately I blocked the card and was able to retrieve it from the gentleman. There is new management and my hope is that she will change the face of this hotel however currently it is not in good shape.
