Nice place,central and close to tourist attractions

Good value place

It was a family outing to Kandy, we made our reservation through phone for a triple room with breakfast. The room was comfortable, with free Wi-Fi, hot water, TV facilities, and with A/c. The hotel is located in a convenient location, so it was easy to walk around from the hotel. The food at the restaurant at the ground floor was not up to the standard we expected. The fried rice that we ordered was dry, and had a taste of roast. The hotel had a smell of beer which made us sick and uncomfortable, as my family are nor alcoholic. The meals are not up to the value which is stated on the cards, and the team is not friendly and supportive. The breakfast was fresh enough to enjoy. Please have your receptionist to have a nice welcome with a smile. We are spending  in thousands for a memorable stay. Hope our next visit will be memorable. Thankyou. Keep smiling......

One night spent at Kandy City Hotel By Earls.....

The staff here were lovely and the restaurant served nice food. However the hotel itself is quite dirty and looks very different in reality than in the photos. Although I do note this hotel was very cost effective.

Only stayed for one night. Small rooms but were clean and surprisingly noise proof considering hotel is in the middle of a town on a busy road! 
Breakfast was a menu rather than buffet style and was average.
Lovely, helpful staff. 

Good budget hotel in the middle of Kandy

We only stayed for one night as a stop over in Kandy. Ideal location for the tooth relic, bus and train station

Good budget hotel, slap bang in the middle of the city but surprisingly the rooms are quiet as they are situated at the back. Booked room only so cannot comment on the hotel food, but plenty of eating places around and just 10 minutes to the Railway station. The entrance to the hotel can be crowded as it is with the pavement and there are street hawkers selling goods, but safe all the same and you get lots of cheap stuff that you can buy along the pavement.
The hotel rooms are rather small but have the basic amenities in place and should be ok for couples. 
This hotel has easy access to the ATM nachines, supermarkets and bakeries. The shopping center is very close and even the historical sights light the Temple of the tooth is walking distance. 
Parking may be a problem for those coming in vehicles although I am sure the Hotel can arrange this for you. Please check though before booking.
All in all a good stay, no hassles. 

Kandy City Hotel by Earl's - budget stay

The location is only 10 minutes walk to the Temple of the Tooth which is perfect and it's in the middle of a multitude of shops. We stayed in the standard rooms and they suited our needs perfectly. Fabulously comfortable beds and rooms very quiet.

With some elbow grease and a bit more time taken by cleaning staff and management the rooms would be more comfortable.As it stands, they are quite grubby - grime all over the light switches, water stains on both the bedside lamp shades - not sure how that happened. Splash marks of coffee and food splattered on the wall behind the bin in the room and finally both pillows were so lumpy they should have been replaced years ago.Aircon didn't put out much coolness, but the ceiling fan worked well.Service from staff was excellent at check in and out.Location is good if you want to stay right in the city, and rooms are quiet.The adjoining bar has draft beer on tap, and does a selection of meals.Overall, there is potential for this to be a reasonable hotel, if its given a good clean once in awhile.
