Kalya Courts Hotel

The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly and the grounds were very pretty. The food was tasty.  We only stayed one night but it was pleasant,  I would stay again. We were here during our Ugandan vacation.

Kalya Courts Small and Beautiful Hotel is easy reach Fort Portal Town. 
The hotel is clean. Rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The Gardens are magnificent especially the evening.
Delightful outdoor sitting areas.
 Enjoyed dealing with the receptionist and Manager. Great Guy.
Our bed was made everyday with fresh towels daily... I would highly recommend this hotel for visiting other parts of the Fort portal.

There were pros and cons with this hotel, but overall it was a solid option for our team of 3 who were visiting the area for 2 weeks of work around Fort Portal. 

PROS:
- The housekeeping is outstanding.  They make the room shine and sparkle every day. Great attention to detail.
- The food at the restaurant was always very tasty.  A nice variety of Ugandan and western options.
- The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They helped us print documents multiple times and always responded to any requests quickly and with a smile.
- The beds, for me, were very comfortable and always gave a good nights' sleep.
- The hotel grounds are beautiful, peaceful and quiet.

CONS:
- The wifi almost never worked well anywhere in the rooms or restaurant.  I ended up using a lot of mobile data to be able to take calls online for work.
- I had some hit-or-miss experiences with hot water in my shower.  Some days it would just never get hot, but I did mention this to the front desk and they quickly sorted something out while I was away. 
- The hotel hallways are quite noisy.  Because of the tiling/concrete, sound bounces around and you can hear everybody and everything.  I was 4 rooms down from the front desk, but could hear every phone call and conversation there. Could also hear nearly every movement from my neighbors on both sides and above. 

Overall, it was a solid affordable option, but could have a few tweaks to make it even better. 

I really didn’t think it was a bit expensive for the room. The breakfast was fine.

My wife and I travelled to Fortportal for our Anniversary. We ended up setting camp at Kalya courts where we had  a good experience with their service. We were given a warm welcome at the reception by staff who wore their masks at all times.The rooms were clean and spacious although the tv had very few channels (a minor issue really). We really appreciated the housekeeping staff who cleaned our room well and did our laundry for the time we were there. The food was good and chefs were attentive to our requests, however they need to expand on their menu for new cuisines...

We would highly recommend the place for those who are looking for a quite gate-away from the city.

The rooms were good. There is enough space except the bathing area is little narrow. The place was calm and quiet since it is out of town. The hospitality is too good and the staffs at reception were too kind and polite . But the room service was average (forget to change bathroom soaps and forget to put floor mat) and the internet was too bad. I had to go to reception lounge to access internet. Only the rooms near to reception were accessible to good internet. The food is good but no spice.

This is an ideal venue for training, quiet, out of town and with excellent, clean and magnificent accomodation facilities. Fresh and delicious delicacies. The reception is just out of this world with friendly and jovial crew. Simply put, it's hospitality at its best.

I would definitely be back, any time l am back to Fort Portal. Keep up the good work.

The hotel staff was delightful and very helpful.  The grounds are peaceful and pretty.  We had free breakfast buffet every morning (the cooks will prepare your eggs how you like them) and enjoyed dinner each evening. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower hot.  Not all rooms have A/C, so be aware.  They do have fans available.
We are going back next June and plan on staying here again.

The room (and bathroom) was very large and clean. Breakfast is ok. I liked that the TV in the room had a USB port.No fridge.
The water pressure in the bathroom was the fantastic. Very high water pressure and very hot water.
Nice grounds (although not very large) Small children's play area. Gym under construction.
The only disappointment was the room service. After calling the restaurant and then kitchen several times, I gave up and had to go to the dining area (at around 7/8 PM when the kitchen and dining area were adequately staffed but there were still very few patrons)
That said, I would definitely recommend to a friend and would not hesitate to stay there again the next time I'm in the Fort Portal area.
