Java Lodge Bed & Breakfast

Yoriko is a lovely host. She was very pleasant on the phone & even picked me up from the train station when I got in & left. Room was very good size with small fridge, table & chairs, flat screen and DVD player (because there are also DVDs to borrow in the lobby). Breakfast in the morning; good coffee & a hot, fresh baked good. Javalodge went above & beyond my expectations. Thank you Yoriko,  for everything :) Please stay here you won't regret it.

We arrived in the ferry from Port Hardy at 11pm the owner stayed open until we arrived. Very good location only about 5min drive from port. Parking is on the street but there was plenty of it. Breakfast was a buffet style with many teas, coffees and fruit juices to chose from. Boiled eggs, Bagels, cereals and muffins. This was more than we expected and the room was very cheap!! I would definitely  recommend 

This isn't your typical place to stay. Rooms are small and quaint with shared BR, and are situated above a nice deli cafe. The building is iconic historic Prince Rupert, and in the heart of Rupert. But what really sets the place apart is the extremely attentive service. The proprietress is gracious and generous. She gave us a pick up and drop off at the ferry even though it was at odd hours (7:15am!!). All this at very reasonable rates. 

Arrived at 11.30pm but still received a warm welcome. Cosy room with good bed. Bathroom shared with other guests, though clean and private. Breakfast was DIY though everything was supplied. Toaster took me a while to figure out (just have to put everything on), but that's me. Of course you can get breakfast next door at the Java Dot Cup.

Over the top service!

We stayed in the front corner room, #101 with a Queen bedroom and separate sitting room.  I want very much to give this a great review, because it is in a charming old building with comfortable furnishings and they are trying so very hard.  But the windows are the original single pane glass and very loose so do little to filter the outside noise and the beeping from the walk singles on the corner kept me from sleeping soundly.  The guest house is above the java cafe and breakfast is fresh muffins and coffee from the cafe.  The owner also packed us a lovely breakfast for the ferry the next morning (juice, muffin, egg, cheese).  The price is very reasonable. It's a great location within walking distance of the museum and Cow Bay. If she could figure out the sound proofing, she should be full all of the time.
