The room was perfect, the breakfast was a nice addition, the pool, nearness to the beach...everything was just as expected....even better!!!!

We had an awesome stay. Extremely clean. Hosts were excellent nice quiet place   Beautifully decorated. Bed was very comfortable Would give this a 10. Breakfast was handmade and perfect every day We will definitely be back

Island Cottage Inn exceeded every expectation. Tim and Kathy were unbelievably attentive, kind, and welcoming—truly outstanding hosts. I travel often and have never had such a consistently positive experience.The location was ideal, and the surrounding community felt like the definition of a perfect beach town: laid-back, friendly, and inviting. This place isn’t just somewhere to stay—it’s somewhere you’re genuinely happy to be. I would return without hesitation and recommend it to anyone.

Charming. Located directly across from the Atlantic-awesome. David greeted us and directed us to our pet friendly room which was comfortably appointed and even had dog bowls and other pet related items.

Loved our beautiful suite and it was very clean!  Loved having a view of the ocean...loved having access to complimentary nice big umbrella and chairs for beach...and loved the closeness and seemingly private use of a beautiful beach only steps away!  One more thing the 2 restaruants we ate at for our dinner were both less than 1/2 mile-3/4 mile away!  Our only dislike is we would have liked a little more of a variety complimentary breakfast as well as wish the time would be at least  available from 8:00-10:00 a.m. instead of 8:30-10:30 a.m..other than that it is a beautiful well kept cozy inn and we had a wonderful time celebrating our 48th Wedding Anniversary!

This was our second stay at The Cottage Inn, and we’re already planning to return next year! We stayed in Suite 5 and really enjoyed the direct access to the pool — such a great feature. The complimentary bicycles were a fun option and added to the overall experience. Although we didn’t use the beach chairs this time, it’s nice to have them available. Most of our time was spent relaxing by the pool, which we thoroughly enjoyed.Thank you for another wonderful stay!

Located right across from the beach and near several nature preserves, very quiet and peaceful. Simple yet elegantly designed, with clean and comfortable rooms, a variety of outdoor patios, relaxing pool, delicious breakfast, easy parking, and wonderful hosts! Exactly the experience I was hoping for, including dolphins in the ocean at sunrise.

Perfect solo beach getaway!

What an amazing place. So beautiful so peaceful and its own private beach right there. Our dog was so excited to be able to go to the beach he was smiling from ear to ear. The host was so accommodating and the inn was so nice. The room was clean and well managed. We had everything we needed. The breakfast was wonderful and we sat outside in this beautiful setting and didn’t want to leave. We actually booked another night for our trip back and decided this might be our new get away spot. Only three hours from us and so perfect. What a great find.

I stayed at the ICI for three nights (July 22nd-July 25th). I was looking for a peaceful place on the beach for my “Eat, Pray, Self-care” retreat. This was the perfect place with the perfect hosts & great service. The beach is literally across the street. The cafe is adorable and offers a delicious continental breakfast. My room was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable—the bed & pillows were the best I’ve ever slept on. I plan to make this an annual trip. It’s far enough from the “city” to feel like a getaway but close enough to drive to in about an hour.

I was in need of a mini Eat. Pray. Love. retreat and Island Cottage Inn turned out to be the perfect place. The rooms are modern, bright, and well decorated. I could have happily set in my room the whole time. The property also has multiple cute spots to sit and read. It’s small enough that there was plenty of privacy. When I did come across other guests, they were very kind and many were repeat guests, which says a lot about a property. The beach is just a few steps away and often I was the only person there, just me and the ocean. The inn provides really nice chairs, towels, and umbrellas that are easy to carry over with you. It’s easy to walk up and down the beach or the sidewalk up above. I walked into the cute town everyday. There are plenty of restaurants, churches, and coffee shops. It’s also easy to drive everywhere and with assigned parking spots, you don’t have to worry about finding a place when you get back. The town is friendly. Everyone nodded and said hello, and I felt safe everywhere I went. I was surprised that there is also a lot of site-seeing to do in the area - nature trails, unique terrain and such. I can't recommend this place more for solo travelers or couples who are looking for a clean, safe, quiet, and modern place to stay and explore.

We recently had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend getaway at Flagler Beach. We departed on Thursday morning and stayed at the Island Cottage Inn, an exclusive, adults-only resort located directly across from the beach in Flagler. The inn provided a range of amenities, including beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas, as well as a complimentary breakfast each morning and a happy hour on Friday evening. With only nine suites, the inn offered a cozy and intimate atmosphere, and we appreciated having our own designated parking space. We also visited the grave sites of some of the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet in Jacksonville. The entire experience was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, and we relished the privacy and seclusion of the resort and its surroundings.

This place is so quiet and quaint. It's a short walk across the street to a private beach area. The hospitality of Dex and Colton was amazing and they were incredibly helpful for all of our questions and needs. I cannot have gluten and they always had a gluten free breakfast option that I really appreciated as some places don't offer this. I highly recommend staying here if you want relaxation and a cozy atmosphere.

I would 10/10 recommend the Island Cottage Inn if you are visiting Flagler Beach. The staff was amazing from start to finish, every part of the inn was clean and well cared for, the bed was super comfy and the view unbeatable. The thoughtful amenities, personal service, and friendliness of the staff unbeatable. I hope we are able to return sooner than later and stay longer next time around!!
