375 reviewsSo we stayed at the River Lodge this week, and it is our second visit to this fantastic place. This time we were offered a three night package which was at a very good price so we jumped at it again.. because we enjoyed the first time very much. Luckily we got an upstairs room with a balcony that looked over that beautiful river. The rooms are super super spacious, so clean and have absolutely everything in it that you would need.. It’s just like staying in a five star hotel.. Apparently, the Lodge and the hotel next door were recently taken over, and the manager told me they are slowly but surely improving things and Redecorating a little bit. We noticed that the wooden outside furniture had been sanded back and repainted so they were very nice. I believe the rooms are to be painted but they look fine to me. Perhaps it’s already been done.. The position of the lodge is really good ,in that it is on the grand Riverwalk ,and one street along is the shopping centre which is small but comprehensive! And a short drive too many other beaches and down to the local beach. . The lodge .. has a fantastic pool.. and the grounds are phenomenal. Just beautifully maintained. The staff and the management are extremely friendly and I look forward to visiting again…
