Spent 2 nights here (in July).  Location is good.
Trying to get into house involved several attempts at phoning owner.  About 45 minutes after my pre advised arrival time, I eventually got told, your key is under the mat! It was in a plastic bag with a sheet of paper which had my room number on it.  That was all the information in the B&B.  No kettle in room, or even glass!  Breakfast  - well I found a dining table in a room full of drying laundry with cereal and bread on it.  No tea  coffee, milk or anything to put on the bread.  People mention a kitchen but no idea where it might have been
  No lighting on staircase
No signs of humanity at any time. 

Bed was comfortable enough but bedroom was very dated and a bit grubby ingrained rather than freshly dirty.


Great location and nothing else 

Place needed a good clean, lots of work and should be clearly advertised as more like a hostel than a B&B and a help yourself place. 
Kitchen was dirty, old and not somewhere i would like to have food from, so i clearly dont think it would pass a hygeine standard. 
Breakfast there was mould in the jam and bread!! I dont think the jam ever went back in the fridge! Owners were not there, didn't see or hear from them all weekend. Was told the lady was ill, so why didn't the husband come over? Just a note on the door on arrival. Someone else let us in who we believe may live there. Same person we had to pay for the room with, who we had to ask for a receipt as left cash, and she asked why! Really! 
Its like a hostel, not a B&B altho breakfast was put out in the morning, it was more of a come and get it yourself. Rooms extremely basic, which was ok for the short time there, but the bathroom you couldn't swing a cat in there. Saturday afternoon we went back for a shower, and it was freezing cold. No one around to ask so 3 of us had to have freezing cold showers! not nice at all. 
Definately would never stay here again, unless there were massive improvements, huge!! 
Oh and classic, firstly oldest TV i've seen in a long time there, wall mounted, and no where near a plug! was like something off Faulty Towers!

one of the worst B&B's ive stayed in

This is advertised as a bed and breakfast is more like a hostel no-one there when you get there you have to ring up then I was told my room would not be ready for six hours was given a front door key and told to leave my luggage in sitting room on returning no one in sight my room was still not ready had to make phone calls again eventually got our room in the basement was freezing cold and shower covered in mould you had to help yourself to breakfast wasn't even shown where anything was and the kitchen wasn't of very good standard after complaining got 50 euros off price but this still completely ruined my holiday I would avoid this place like the plague never did get to meet the owner saw very little of anyone made us feel like we where trespassing on someone's property didn't feel comfortable at all

Stay in dublin

We spent three weeks at the Huband house hostel and it was absolutely great ! Good located, in the beautiful Georgian quarter, very easy to visit Dublin city center. 
People are very welcoming and friendly ! 

Lovely place 

Not a bad little place. I stayed here for the weekend as I was going to a concert at the 3arena. Rooms are basic. But you don't really need much. Very clean and the people that own the place are very friendly. We checked out at 11am and as our Aircoach wasn't due until 4pm, they gave us a key for the front door so we could utilise the living room and kitchen until we left. The B&B is in a nice part of town and the beds are very comfy! Very reasonable on price too. 

Basic but clean and friendly! 

Speaking of accommodation quality, there is not much to praise. Rooms were equipped with basic, decades old furniture and needed overall maintenance. Especially the doors which looked like they were going to disintegrate in any second. I'd even say it was useless that there were locks on the doors when the doors themselves were made of dry soft wood that might have remembered 2nd world war. Another thing was that there were mushrooms growing in one of the showers (I stayed in 3 different rooms and the other two were okay). Rooms were also very cold but I was soon told by another guest that there was a portable electric heating that I could use - and you bet I did. Breakfast is just instant cereal with milk. Also, rooms facing the street were noisy and I was forced to buy earplugs to get a decent sleep.
So, why I am giving it three stars rather than one? First, price is almost unbeatable. It was even cheaper than my previous Airbnb accommodation in the outskirts. Second, there was a kitchen with all kitchenware available, which I much appreciated as someone who has very specific dietery requirements. Preparing my own meals saved me loads of money which wouldn't be possible at the majority of other hotels/B&Bs. And if you are lucky enough, you'll catch some friendly guests at the guest room and have a good chat like I did. So, as the title says, you get what you pay for and if you are willing to sacrifice comfort, you'll get a cheap place at a great location.

The personal its very friendly, the rooms are very clean, the enviroment it's feels like home and have everything to have a good night, you can use the kitchen to prepare something by yourself. The only bad thing it's that you can hear the steps in the room when the people use the stair's, as except of that, everything was ok. I recommend this option if you want a quiet hotel.
