The basic clean room, with hot water, will be susceptible to any noise in the inner atrium, it's a bit of an echo chamber! However for most of the night if was fairly quiet, but the nose of the staff arriving for breakfasts and the lorries going passed did start at 6am!

Good for one night stopovers

We stayed for 2 nights in June 2016 in a double room with AC and private bathroom. 

The hotel is on a side street from the main road. It's convenient for the town and water. The location is quieter than others as it is away from the main drag but it's still a frantic and noisy town. It's a big hotel with open spaces and a restaurant so you have to be prepared for some coming and going of people. 

The room was basic and clean. There was hot water. The AC was modern and quiet. 

The hotel has no breakfast but there is the on site restaurant which seems popular. We had a dinner there and it was cheap. 

Wifi was OK, it went out for half a day. 
I don't think any English is spoken.
They do have private parking for vehicles.

This hotel and restaurant is located just couple of blocks from downtown El Estor on the lake shore of Lago Izabal.  150 Q will get you a basic room with a private bathroom and a WiFi. The disco bar across the street can be noisy during the night so ask for a room on the other side of the building.

Convenient place to stay in El Estor

My wife did'nt felt so good, so after 1 hour we asked to leave , because the place was too noisy for her.
The owener askes us to pay 100Q just 
for this hour!!!!!!!!!
We don't like to do businese with people we  are not hones0t...
