This review is of the Bistro where we had a lunchtime meal at the end of September 2013. Whilst travelling through eastern France in a motorhome we came across Ty Nordic having walked to the village of Chaux-Neuve from Mouthe some 7km away on the main road. The staff were very friendly and agreeable to both us and our dog providing water for the latter. The Plat du Jour was of roast chicken in a mustard sauce with seasonal vegetables. The food was plentiful and delicious - very generous portion of chicken breast cooked to a melting tenderness and the mustard sauce very tasty but not too hot. We were extremely pleased with the value for money at 9 euro each. Although we did not have a dessert, from what we saw of the other diners who did, they too looked very nice. I would definitely recommend the Bistro for its food and hospitality and the opportunity to practise my limited French. The Bistro is well located for local and long distance walks.
