I stayed at El tunco lodge drank too much got kicked out by the owner my girl gave them too much drama it wasn't their foult but they should have more tolerance with drunk tourist as long as they don't damage anything in their property

total disaster

Very central, located on the main street and 5mins away from the beach, friendly and helpful staff, good rooms and A/C. I recommend.

Only down side was really noisy until late/early as it's a party-ish venue.

Good place to stay

This is very basic accommodation. My room had bed and zero other amenities. Nowhere to put my suitcase, no bedside table. I took some beer crates and crafted some basic places to set my stuff. Nothing on the walls, just an industrial fluorescent light hanging across the ceiling. But safe and clean. Nada mas. I feel like 25 bucks is reasonable given no cleaning service, no furniture.

Not bad for a hostel

I booked a dorm and got a room with two beds instead which was great. Outdoor areas are ok as well. Overall it seems one of the better options you have in el tunco which are already very few. Staff was nice.

Great stay, helpful staff and clean rooms for great price

We stayed here for 5 nights. We had a really hard time sleeping since the next door bar blasted music until 1:00 am every night. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and they only provided one pillow per bed. There was no cleaning service at any point. I had to go to reception to ask for toilet paper, and they were completely unresponsive to any request. When we complained, the front desk people did not care. I would strongly advice you not to stay here. The hotel is haphazardly built, and they have a poor understanding of customer service.

The room I stayed in was run down and mouldy. The beds were rock hard. Zero hot water or water pressure in showers. 
Walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbors full conversations. 
My boyfriend and I ended up leaving and paying for another hotel. 
Lack of security. Didn’t see anyone guarding who was walking in and out. They forgot to give me a wrist band and never questioned me once.
You can get better quality hotels closer to the beach for same price

Stay Clear

I have definitely stayed in worse places, but this is certainly in my top 10. 
The bars next door are super loud and the pool area seems to be open to practically everyone, so it can get a bit out of control.
No hot water is a minor inconvenience, but the mold on the walls and the tv wires hanging out the wall are pretty off putting.
The staff seem questionable, either not willing to help or too busy at night having drinks with the pool crashers. This was not my first stay in El Salvador, but sadly my last stop so it left me with a bad impression.

Loud and Dirty!

Normally you can get a room anywhere, and sometimes is expected more than a room. I forgot my ID in fron tdesk  at the hotel and called for help, they found it and it was supposed they took care of it, but days later when I tried to pick it up it was lost. I felt really bad about it, maybe was a part of my fault, but some small details make the difference sometimes. It would not be a place for come back for me.
