A short walk from the train station, the Hotel Taube is a cozy and traditional family run hotel. The owner is very friendly, hands-on, and a wealth of local knowledge. Our family room was large and comfortable, and had a beautiful high ceiling. The restaurant serves traditional meals, and had no problem accommodating special requirements. Free Wi-fi was only in the public rooms as of December 2015, but during our stay technicians were busy adding access points. The main ski lift is a short walk away, and the ski room across the street is very convenient. The hotel is located in the very center of town, with the village church across the street. The Spar grocery store is roughly a hundred meters away, which is very convenient for toiletries, drinks, etc. Would not hesitate to return, and next time will be for a longer duration. Schruns is a very special little town.
