Hotel Rural Quinta Da Torre

Stayed here in two spells with a group of 10 during May. The hotel is a converted range of farm buildings on the outskirts of the small town of Alpiarca. The rooms were absolutely fine, really comfortable, because of the stone floor they can be a little cold of a night, but the warm sheets and blankets more than make up for this. The hot water takes a few minutes to come through of a morning but again, this is no great problem. The hotel is really more of a guest house, there is no bar to speak of but the nice owner offered to bring us beers for a price. Again, the reception is not manned 24/7 but this is not an issue. Breakfast was great, good selection and I found the owner and her mother two really friendly and helpful people. Overall the price is excellent considering the location which is in a rural part of Portugal close to Santarém.
