***MODERATOR, THIS HOTEL IS SPELT WRONG. i HAVE THE INVOICE AND IT'S 'KOHLE'*** As part of a European tour, we wanted to spend a night near the lakes at Lindau. Immediately it became apparent that everywhere near the lake was fairly well overpriced, so we took a chance and booked this B&B nearby. It's a charming 10 minute drive from the lake, our journey was interrupted by my Mrs feeding a deer by the roadside! The hotel was family run, and a friendly welcome was given, as much as can be with NO mutual language to choose from! We had a large room, with a balcony, which was clean and tidy. It might be time for a refurb of a few bits in the hotel, but nothing worth criticising. As the social centre of the village, we had a great, albeit slightly strange, night, trying to speak pidgeon French, German and English with friendly locals. Great food in the bar, and the Mrs claims it's the best Rosti she has had! Breakfast was lovely, continental style of course, but plenty of meats and other choices. Off the beaten track, but the most affordable way to stay anywhere near Lindau, and we 'accidentally' had a great stay in this charming village.
