Although I reserved a room with breakfast, there was no restaurant, no dining room, no breakfast. One bread and a bottle of water was offered in the varandah after making me wait for half an hour. ( at 08.30 Hours).
They were obviously racist in their approach.

A Hotel to be avoided

We three middle aged Brits arrived on a delayed plane from Luton, public bus from the airport to the Centre to make our way to Orange Villa Hotel only to find the hotel overbooked so we were directed to Hotel Freya, which was full but they directed us to this Hotel. Luckily all were close to each other and the final bus stop from the Airport so wandering around with our hand luggage 5kg only was not a problem.

Through the archway, up the stairs and into empty Reception we went. A couple of dings on the bell summoned the receptionist who could not speak English but phoned his boss to arrange taking a triple room for 3600 (more than the Orange but we were desperate to take anything by then).

We were shown a smart en-suite room 103 close to reception and it seemed fine so we accepted it.

It had a window onto a wall and garden below and a shower room by the window (light switch on the wall behind the hinge). 

The room's double and single beds had fresh clean linen in and three towels. 

The 28 inch LED TV with satellite settopbox showed mostly Albanian channels with occasional American film channel in English with Albanian subtitles. Euronews was unavailable. 

A modern digital A/C unit control was by the door, the unit above the window.

Three hooks were in room by the door, a large wardrobe had a door abutting the bedside table so did not open. Inside were lots of blankets and a bit of space left for hanging things.

A couple of cubic padded blocks were by a low desk so useful for rearranging and putting things on.

The firm double bed had a bedside table either side. The main lamp was switchable from the bed but bedside lamps did not. There were plenty of sockets around for charging devices. The single bed was also firm and good but had no table by the head end as the wet room door opened onto the space. 

The wet room included a shower by the door with a leaky head. The sink was in the corner so a bit cramped but it did have an integrated plug, basic toiletries, hairdryer, mains socket and a big mirror but no over headlight for shaving. The water pressure was good enough to jet out my razor.

There was also one hook, a bin (for loo paper as none allowed down the pan), two pairs of rubber slippers and a bidet (although the knob fell off). The lightbulb blew in bathroom the first evening but I had own reserve plugin LED light anyway.

The WiFi turned out to be quite powerful and fast enough for socials and a bit of low intensity gaming (as my friend does). 

On our first night a very loud thundercrash in the night resulted in all the electrics turning off and the emergency light going in as well as a bright light from the A/C unit. 

A noisy couple (in 102?) were talking very loudly on Wednesday night from midnight till 00:40. A bang on the wall eventually got them quiet by 1am! 

Noisy people at reception at 8am and the general corridor was noisy with doors opening and closing. 

On Wednesday afternoon before we left for the BunkerArt1 a young woman was on reception and she spoke very good English so I easily booked another night as we were quite comfortable in this hotel, we cancelled our precooked second night at Orange Hotel.

On our checking out at 11:00 on Thursday we told the receptionist about the faulty lights but had to show her as she could not speak English. 
She showed me how the bedside light was turned on by taking out a plug - it was an emergency light!!

I hope they are rectified before the next guests arrive.

All told this was a comfortable place to stay for the price, albeit a bit cramped. It is a pity some guests were antisocial late at night and early morning.

The Hotel is small, very central and clean.
We booked in August and it was cheap and perfect.
If you want a nice Hotel close to the Center, go there!
Owner and employees are very nice!

Positives- friendly staff, newly updated room, consistent internet connection, new A/C unit in ceiling, location, clean, very reasonable price 
Negatives- very tight parking spot, most tv channels didn’t work, mattress not the best

Overall a good stay at a good price and great location

Bad experience..I stayed at this hotel only for a night but even still continue problem with them.
I did my reservation  from booking.com for this place, when I arrived hotel, I said about my booking to the reception guy (that one with glasses) and he show my name which has wrote on a post-it paper (this is detail but important on my case)  then he requested the payment in EUR, i said to him, I have Albanian Leke even local currency is Leke in this country, anyway he gave my key and I went out my room, one thing was good they reserved to me a big room instead of my reservation was single room.
Than I stayed one night there, Room was OK, without any fridge and TV channels only Albanian ones, even most of the guests are European. However it was fine, I seen their political leaders on TV at their Elections Meeting and I improve my Albanian :)
At night, when I went out for a walk, at reception desk I found another girl as receptionist and I asked her about breakfast,  Is it include or not?
Her response was that:  <With 25 EUR per a night we dont give a breakfast ! > (yes, rate was 25 EUR per a night) 
 it was very unkind respond and I said sorry I didnt know this, and I didnt mention anything and went out.
In the morning, check out time, I found another weird receptionist with long hair guy, I left the key and said bye, he was looking strangely at me seems seen an allien..
Anyway, for me was fine, I didnt bothert as its a 3 stars budgeted hotel untill booking.com contacted with me, they said to me, can you confirm that, did you stay this hotel. i said , sure yes..why did you asking? they replied; cause hotel management say to us, He booked but never stayed..
Next day; booking.com again contacted with me and said: Could you confirm again and define your room number and bill? I said to me room number unfortunately, i didnt take the bill from them.
Now, problem is continue and I don know, whats going to happen, as they want to get extra Non-show charge from me.
Finally, let me say that, there are many hotels in this rate in Tirana, choose one of them.

Stay away from this hotel

Nothing good to say im sorry to say but i would most definitely not recommend this place as they are rude un professional all corrupt satay away from it they will offend you if u don't bribe them they want euros even though the country only uses Lek had to walk away from it after i paid the staff dont care after i asked to talk to the manager or the owner nothing changed.
But the rest of the city are kind
