Casa Chetumal Hotel

This is a very simple hotel with friendly staff that we have come to know through the years. We prefer the rooms in the front with balconies to "people watch" in the evenings. The front rooms are a wee noisy and older. They have newer rooms in the back which are much quieter, but without balconies. They have an upstairs covered interior patio for groups looking for an area to converse together. The location of this hotel is excellent for exploring downtown on foot, just a short distance to the Muelle Fiscal and the esplanade in the evenings and the museum and old market during the day. The have a small onsite covered parking area that holds approximately 6 cars. This hotel is an excellent deal for the location and also the staff is so welcoming. There is a restaurant located directly beside it, but we have never eaten there as we prefer getting food in the evenings in the park.
