Convenient to shops, dining and beach. Good for families-lots of kids there so be prepared for kid noise.

Lovely hotel and staff. Good range of food for the buffet dinners and breakfasts. Local bar down the road is cheap and does lovely food too.Helpful info: You can get a bus for €6 each to Olbia but it does take about an hour and 45 mins and buses are not frequent (every 3 hours). Taxi from Olbia to the hotel was 100€.

We stayed there as a family of three from 17/8/24 to 24/8/24, room 358. We had a great experience there and nothing but praise and admiration for the efficient, hard working staff who move at pace to provide an excellent service for all guests. 
The hotel and our room were cleaned daily. WiFi was good throughout. Breakfast and dinner were completely to our satisfaction with lots of choice each time. The a/c worked throughout our stay, perhaps not as cold as we’d prefer, being from the U.K. When we had a couple niggles with our room, smiling and friendly maintenance man was there swiftly to sort everything.  
The hotel is excellently situated with easy access to town and bus stops. The pool is clean with sun beds available daily and no “sun bed wars”! 
Shout out to Maria Teresa, Martina and the rest of reception staff who were welcoming, friendly and helpful with tips about sightseeing. 
Shout out to Giampiero, Salvatore and all the chefs and dinner serving staff for providing an excellent buffet every night, which we looked forward to. Shoutout to Claudio in the dining room, friendly and chatty, efficiently cleared our plates. 
We will definitely return to this hotel. 
About Sardinia, well, absolutely stunning island with beautiful beaches and delightful cuisine.

Having just returned from this hotel I would recommend it to anyone. The town is small and has a nice bay with a mariner and lots of places to eat and drink.  The food is good and plentiful and lots to choose from.  The rooms are large and ours had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool.

Staff was friendly, the room was clean and had everything you needed. I would stay again.

We have just enjoyed a 7 night break at the Blu Morisco on a half board plus basis via Jet2. We were impressed with the friendliness of the staff, reception and bar staff were all lovely and aim to please. 
Our room was cleaned every day and the air conditioning was working well throughout our stay. 
You are allocated a table for dinner in the restaurant which you keep for your entire stay. At breakfast you can sit wherever. We found all the food to be really nice. Plenty of cereals, fruits, yoghurts, croissants, toast, plus usually bacon and scrambled eggs at breakfast. Dinner usually had several options of meat or fish dishes plus pasta dishes and risotto.
Breakfast is available from 7.30am to 10am and dinner from 7.30pm to 9pm. 
Examples of prices at the bar (Sept 2023) are 5.50 euros for a large beer and 5 euros for a glass of white wine.

We had a lovely week at the Blu Hotel Morisco and couldn’t fault our room, the quality and variety of the food or the drink prices. Colleagues across reception, housekeeping, bar and restaurant were very friendly and polite. It was also great to see the hotel embracing diversion and inclusivity in the workplace by employing two colleagues with severe learning difficulties - beautiful Martina and her friend Max 😊

Excellent hotel and Excellent staff on so many levels! Friendly Staff, Great Hotel Location, lovely buffet food, wine and water with meal . Food tasty and plentiful. Nice rooms,  free air con and WiFi .  Fab pool which is Spotlessly clean as a 'robot' cleans it each evening. Fluffy white towels, hot water, super clean rooms and friendly maid Martina who helped me with my italian.! Cannigionne is a lovely village, stylish, authentic and has shops, a weekly market, many bars and restaurants.  There's a port too. We definitely recommend the madellanna boat trip. Bike hire is also possible and the buses although not so regular do allow visits to nearby beaches and Porto cervo.  Baja sardegna was gorgeous.  

The hotel is very well run with some low key yet classy keyboard entertainment and we found it a truly relaxing holiday. We think the staff work very hard and deserve my top rating 100%. Well done and Grazie mille!!

Travelled with Jet2 end May. Airport transfer was great fabulous views of the Costa Smeralda to the hotel even though it took about an hour.
HOTEL
Hotel was ideal, close to the marina and a couple of beaches a few shops and some fantastic restaurants. Monday market was just outside. Reception staff were very friendly and efficient. They helped us with booking a car for a couple of days (beware to get your deposit back when returning the car to the hire car company) 
ALL the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
We were on a half board plus deal. This gave you 120 euros per room per stay to spend at the bar, was given a card which the total spend was added up each time so you knew how much was left (very good idea) An extra bonus was red/white wine which was drinkable and water was included in the evening meal.
MEALS
You were allotted a table on arrival, yours for the week, good idea we thought as no thinking of where to sit each morning/evening. We enjoyed the food it was different each night, reasonable choices and good quality. (not sure if you had a dietary requirement or very suitable for young children)
Breakfast – Buffet style - typical continental cold meats cheese, yoghurts, cereal, fruit, egg (boiled or scramble) sausage or bacon, lots of cake and croissants 
Diner – typical Italian style. Almost buffet style. The menu was shown on the board outside the restaurant listing what was on that evening – antipasti, pasta, main, desert. The antipasta was a mixture of salad, cold meats, fish and many other dishes. One problem was sometimes they were not labelled so it was difficult to distinguish what they were! Pasta was usually 3 or 4 choices, same with the main which was generally meat or fish, potato, and maybe 1 vegetable both were served but you could go back for more. Desserts always lots of cakes to choose from.
Rooms were big enough good views and cleaned every day. Could not find UK TV channel but so what! 
Pool was clean, initially cold but refreshing. More beds and brollies came out as the week went on 
All in all a very good holiday, a good location to explore the north side and its fabulous beaches. Not sure if we would go in July/August could become very busy.

First time in Sardinia and what a beautiful island. Blu Morisco is a wonderful hotel with brilliant staff throughout who were helpful at all times.
   My only disappointment was the Croissants at breakfast. Plenty of choice otherwise from cereals ,fruit, meats, hot option Scrambled Egg, a very thin bacon and chopped sausage. 
   Half board plus a bonus, limited choice but as long as you are not picky perfectly adequate.
     Buffet service at dinner was at times a tad chaotic, no fault of the staff as people were either being served or looking what was on offer. Happy to say the focus was on local dishes, don't expect chips, french fries etc though you might get roast beef, excellent roast potatoes when when they suit the menu. Don't be afraid to ask for

This was our return visit. There have been changes such as no free for all with the wine for dinner (which is good in a way as last year people were over doing it. Food was excellent and plentiful. Reception staff brilliant and really helpful. Waiting staff attentive and helpful as before. Good standard of rooms , clean and well kept. Cannigione didn't disappoint. Bit of advice: don't get towels from reception. It's a non refundable €20 charge, hopefully will be back.

Things have changed

We had a lovely week ! Staff all very pleasant and helpful . Rooms clean and a good size , bathrooms perfectly adequate . Lovely white fluffy towels . Swimming pool and surroundings perfect lots of loungers and umbrellas available . Kept meticulously clean . Food was mostly good but maybe not always food we are used to .

Very Enjoyable Experience

Blu Hotel Morisco

I stayed at the Hotel Blu Morisco as a solo female traveller in July 2024.
Overall I would recommend this hotel. Here are some points to note:

Positive points:

-Spacious pool area. Large clean pool.
-No greedy sun bed reserving happens: in Early/mid July there were always available Sun beds.
-Spacious room - I had a double bed and sofa. Plenty of space.
-Clean - everywhere was very clean including my room, the pool area and public areas. 
-Mini supermarkets are a short walk away. Very useful for getting water and other supplies.
-There’s a singer at the hotel most nights but it’s quite low-key. Not much else to do in the hotel in the evening (instead take a walk out to a bar or for a walk down the marina).
-My balcony overlooked the pool which was lovely.
-I recommend a day trip on a boat to visit La Maddalena and the other archipelago islands (stunning beaches).
-The local beach is close and ok but I was seeking the turquoise seas and white sand that you see on the internet so I needed to go further out. I took a walk about 45 minutes away to Tanca Manna which was beautiful.
-There’s also the Sunlines tourist bus which runs from the local bus stop. It takes you many places around the Costa Smeralda.
-Several amazing ice cream shops in the area.
-Monday market right outside the hotel on Monday 8am-1pm is really good. Some beautiful items. 
-There’s also a smaller market down by the harbour every night. 
-I felt safe here as a solo female traveller - even walking around at night.
-Free wifi all around the hotel site.

Improvements:

-Food at the hotel: not amazing. Just ‘ok’. I won’t miss the food to be honest. Typically Italian items were bland (pasta) or artificial tasting (desserts and ice cream).
-Be aware that pool towels are €3 each time, not free as with all other hotels I’ve visited.

Great for relaxing days or as a base for day trips

Just got back from our holiday in Sardinia which we loved. We had a car for the week so we visited quite a few places/beaches. The hotel was fine for our purposes very clean throughout including the pool. We had breakfast, evening meal with wine included. The breakfast was fine with everything you could want, the evening meal was ok, there was always something we could eat, a lot of choice,probably enjoyed the salad bar, pastas rather than the other cooked mains, but the desserts and ice cream changed everyday and were very popular. You helped yourselves to as much wine as you liked, it was ok. If anything I wished the dinner service was longer cos everyone rushed in at 7.30 which we didn’t want to do but it finished at 9pm and they were trying to get you out.  The room was ok, needed updating but functional, we had a small balcony which overlooked the front of the hotel, it was quiet enough. The market on the Monday was right opposite the hotel and was worth going , they sold everything from clothes to food and fish, this was interesting.

Enjoyable week

Travelled in April so reasonably quiet. Liked the area but nicer to have a car at least for a couple of days to explore. Hotel room okay for two adults and two children and view of the pool was nice. Staff on reception were lovely and helpful. I think there could be improvements Check in and out time isn’t in line with most hotels. Easily changed and something regularly picked up on reviews Food quality is not good. It’s okay but certainly not good. That’s clearly down to cutting costs and improving hotel profitability but something that is regular for mid price half board and all inclusive hotels. The pool is absolutely freezing in April which isn’t great…The kids bed squeaked so much it wakes you up at night sometimes and one night a group of teenage guests were so loud until late I had to call reception and also approach them and tell them to be quiet. Apart from that reasonable sleeps. Overall I think the hotel was reasonable. I wouldn’t stay in peak season for sure because I think it would be far too hectic and loud but April / September or October I would consider staying again

We had a fantastic holiday in Sardinia, and Cannigione is ideally situated. Hotel accommodation was good as was the catering which offered lots of choice for both breakfast and evening meals. The Pool was excellent and very clean. The only negative factors were that the air conditioning in the rooms did not work that well and not at all for two days, but in the evening there was a nice breeze if you left the balcony doors open. You are provided a card on arrival to purchase drinks and snacks which you pay for at the end of the stay. We were informed on arrival that we would have €120 credit due to having the half board package. Unfortunately on leaving,the hotel would not deduct €120 from our bill as we did not book through Jet 2 holidays. Please bare this in mind if you are informed of this credit on arrival.
