On our drive to Sweden we decided to stay over at the hotel Miramare in Heiligenhafen. Even though the facilities might need some refurbishing the rooms are good and with lots of space (up to 4 persons in an apartment) and a in a calm part of the town. The parking (free of charge) is right behind the hotel. We were had announced that our arrival would be late and the owners waited for us to arrive. When we had settled they served a good glass of wine in their very quaint Greek restaurant. Very friendly staff and a good location, not far from the A1.
