Le Manoir 

Le Manoir is, in fact, a well-dressed manor house with service to match. Many rooms look out on gardens in bloom even in October (some with balconies). Its lovely dining room serves good food in an old-fashioned decor. We particularly appreciated the dining room on the rainy night we arrived and its kitchen even came up with chicken sandwiches for the day we left. Quite special in our travels, Le Manoir has a truly heated indoor swimming pool in which we could swim laps! Apparently, folks come here for the Thermes and stay for three weeks, room and board. We could see why. Aix Les Baines is a great location, probably jammed in summer but we found easy parking along the lake and enjoyed a walk while watching sailboat classes. Lovely hotel with lovely grounds and a lovely restaurant. And there’s free parking across the street.
