Hotel Fazenda Santa Helena

GOOD: The location was on my way back from my parents to Rio de Janeiro. It was easy to find! The hotel was good and we got the option of all inclusive, so we had no issues since it’s a farm and it could be hard to get a meal around. They have an option for a day use with one meal which might be a good option since you can use all facilities of the farm. The meals were great and abundant and they replaced it as people were serving. Really organized to handle people and staff was nice to assist. Room had a mini fridge which was handy. They have a card system that whatever you get from their bar it can be paid upon checkout. That’s very clever. BAD: I’m not sure they got my reservation... it seems they could not find me there, despite of having received and phone message setting up the checkin and checkout times. Anyway, they manage to provide me a room, but I had to show my booking reservation so they could honor the price listed (they were charging me more). The bed was not good. There was a depression on the mattress as it’s been used a lot (felt like people sit on it a lot) and it was weird to sleep on it. That was the worse part for me. Reminder... cellphone signal might be limited depending on your carrier. Mine was totally off and the WiFi was not that great, but I could live with it.
